I have 6 Simpleviewer Galleries on my website. I am moving hosting providers and I am setting up the Wordpress installation from scratch on the new hosting. I have backed up everything, including uploaded images, but I was wondering how I go about exporting the Simpleviewer Galleries (the names, the settings for each, what images are included in it etc.)?

Is it all held in some files in the plugins folder?

Old Wordpress installation: 3.3.1
New Wordpress installation: version 3.5.1
Old Simpleviewer Plugin Version: 2.3.0
New Simpleviewer Plugin Version: 2.3.2.1

Got some problems embedding the gallery into pages on wordpress. Using the latest wordpress (3.5.1) and the latest pro version of the plugin.

Current steps I'm doing:
Go to the page I need to put the gallery on, and click the 'Add SimpleViewer Gallery' button. I get the lightbox window, click the options I need, then save gallery. Nothing is embedded into the page. I have to add the shortcode by hand where I want the gallery to go: [simpleviewer gallery_id="1"]

Then, go to add media, and this is where it gets confusing. i have 3 options: insert media, create gallery, set featured image.

I cant find the installation instructions anymore, but I certainly dont remember the instructions matching the site. I get an error saying the XML cant be found or something like that, but yet I had, occasionally, some sort of viewer, but nothing like the settings I set for it.

I've tried refreshing+clearing the cache, tried various methods of putting the gallery in, and even found that having both [simpleviewer gallery_id="1"] and the [gallery] shortcode was needed to make the SV gallery show.

This whole thing is a mess, and I have no idea what steps to take to ensure it works. There is no online version publicly available at the moment as the site is in development. Can provide it in private email support if needed though.

I've tried the plugin on a non-Evermore themed wordpress site on my server and as expected, it works fine until the Evermore theme is installed. Juicebox plugin works fine with Evermore, just not Simpleviewer. Have got in touch with the Evermore developers and they are unable to assist .

Hope you can help! I do have a simpleviewer pro license too.

as when you go to enlarge the image it stays black

I have now [simpleviewer gallery_id="1"] and I just want that gallery to search for pictures in a map like "......../pictures" and then wanna use a ftpprogram on my iPhone to just upload this pictures to the gallery. Help?

I mean: I don't want to put noindex in the html page where the simpleviewer gallery is published - only I'd like ot hide the xml file from googlebot!

I'm relatively new to SimpleViewer.  I'm using the pro version on wordpress in conjunction with NextGen gallery.  It's a great plugin overall but I'm having a problem whereby anytime a caption has an apostrophe, a slash is automatically added before it.  For example, if I insert the following caption: "Getting wings from the owner's hangar", I get the following output in the gallery: "Getting wings from the owner/'s hangar".  You can see an example of what I'm referring to at the following URL in the caption for the 11th image: http://www.gosshawkunlimited.com/restor … l-ii-p-51/. Do you know could be causing this and how to fix it.  Thanks in advance.

I love Simpleviewer, love working with it, but I have one problem with it that is very annoying, maybe even a "dealbreaker":

In my situation (the latest wordpress 3.5.* with the latest version of the sv-plugin and svcore) I have no control over the order in which the pictures are uploaded/displayed in the Wordpress Media gallery.

Now I know it's possible to change the order of the photo's in the WordPress media library after the upload (http://www.simpleviewer.net/forum/viewt … 639#p47639), but having to manually change the order of an album with over 50 pictures seems so impractical and unnecessary when all I want is to reverse the order of the pictures.

So, my problem is that somehow the pictures I upload always show up in the WP media gallery, and consequently in the published SimpleViewer album, in reverse order.

• Is there any way I can reverse the order before/while uploading the pictures?

• Is there any way I can reverse the order of the uploaded pictures after they have been uploaded, other than doing it manually?

If there isn't, could you please make this possible, maybe add a "sortInReverseOrder"-like pro options switch/variable?

I have read the instructions under 'Edit a Gallery' in the SimpleViewer instruction guide, but this method does *not* work (or no longer works...???). 

Please help.  I have a gallery with 23 photos built (and it looks terrific), more photos need to be added. Using WP 3.5.1

Part of the how-to instructions say: 
◦ Click the 'Add Media' button. Click the 'Gallery' tab to view, delete and re-order images. Click 'From Computer' to add new images.

The problem: 
Once I click the 'Add Media' button (on the page), there is no 'Gallery' tab to view.  Is this due to update of WP?  Is SimpleViewer no longer working on WP (3x)?

As for these instructions, once the 'Add Media' button is selected the only choices are to: Upload Files, Media Library, Create Gallery, Set Featured Image.
There is no 'Gallery' tab to select from.  Please help as I really need to add more photos.

WP-SimpleViewer cannot assign full access permissions (777) to the wp-content/uploads folder.

But all permissions of uploads  are on 777 even of all sub-folders. Every other upload works. I deactivated every other plugin but still no success.. (wp-version 3.5.1, wp-simpleviewer.2.3.2.1). What could cause this problem?

after updating Simpleviewer a bunch of the galleries have now vanished

for example http://mavericklumber.ca/portfolio/tables/item-no-0100/
there is no gallery showing on the page
the images are there
the gallery exists in the simpleviewer galleries
the shortcode is on the page

The only way I see to resolve this is to create a new gallery and delete the old one.

Why is this happening?  Is it because the galleries were created before WordPress made so many gallery changes in 3.5?

I find it so frustrating that this plugin needs the swf file uploaded each time... and that it keeps breaking.
