Topic: svBuilder against manually editing gallery.xml

My problem is the following:
I made a new gallery using the svmanager. Then I want to edit the gallery.xml with the svBuilder. Edit works. But then I want to add a new picture to this gallery with the svmanager and the manager said, that the gallery.xml has an error and had to be rebuild. I rebuilt it and all changes with the svBuilder is gone.
Is it my failure or is it not possible to do gallery-changings in that way?

Same, when I edit the gallery.xml manually with options - the svmanager cant add new images.

greetings, André

Re: svBuilder against manually editing gallery.xml

Most likely when you manually edited the gallery.xml one of the changes you made wasn't input correctly. Can you post the contents of the XML that is giving you the issue.

Re: svBuilder against manually editing gallery.xml

Good Morning!

Ok, my gallery.xml - first built in svManager - gallery works fine - then update/changes with svBuilder - gallery looks fine - editing in svManager give me the following message:
"Notice: XML in g2/gallery.xml is not well-formed. Error: not well-formed (invalid token) at line:33 column:19.
Rebuild may be necessary.
You have no images in this gallery"
But the gallery have two images...

Ok, here is the gallery.xml - I dont edit it manually, only in svManager and svBuilder:

Re: svBuilder against manually editing gallery.xml

The xml around the gallery title looks very scrambled. Can you try removing the font face tags in the gallery title and see if it works then?

Re: svBuilder against manually editing gallery.xml

Hi Jack,

you're right, it was the in svManager html-formatted title. When the title-text is unformatted, it works fine. Same thing with the "<" at the back-button.

Thank you for your help - great software  smile
