Topic: Change background color?

Howdy,
Newbie html writer here, trying to change the Simpleview background color with no luck. I've changed it in the gallery.xml... do I need to change it somewhere else, also?

Thanks for the quick reply Felix! Much appreciated but...I did do that, and got no color change? As a temporary fix I changed my website's background color to match the Simpleviewer. I want color #000000 (black), but even if I put in that value, I get color #181818.
