Topic: Caption overlay covering image border

OK, this is only a small problem but it's really bugging me.

If you hover over the images in these galleries the caption sits nicely within the image border

If you hover over the images in these galleries the caption covers the bottom of the image border

I really don't want to fill these galleries until I can sort this, but I really can't work out why it's happening?!

Re: Caption overlay covering image border

Guess it's not fixable then

Re: Caption overlay covering image border

Which version of the simpleviewer.swf are you using? Have you tried the newest one, 2.0.2?

How do I tell which version of SimpleViewer I have?

For SimpleViewer standard version, right click the SWF to see the version number. For SimpleViewer-Pro, check the readme.html file in the top level of the pro download for the version number.

Re: Caption overlay covering image border

I am having this same "Caption overlay covering image border" problem and yes, I have Pro v2.0.2!  I just downloaded it tonite, and the problem is still happening in that version!

I have my option set to:  captionPosition="TOP"

Here's what I noticed:

1) When I am running the slideshow in IE from my _hard drive_, the caption is inside the frame, at the top of the image (which is where I want it to be).

2) When I run the slideshow in IE from my web server, the caption is overlaying the image border, not where I want it 'cuz it looks soooo lame.

3) When I am running the slideshow in Firefox from my _hard drive_, the caption is above the frame, which is OK, but my longer captions still end up overlaying the image border, which looks somewhat lame.

4) When I am running the slideshow in Firefox from my web server, the captions don't appear AT ALL!  That's amazing -- that Firefox totally swallows the captions!

So, what's up with all these discrepancies, and what do you consider "fixed"??

Thanks very much,

Glee

Re: Caption overlay covering image border

This is a separate issue than the previous posts.

Where do you want the caption to appear? Above the image or overlaid on top of the image?

If you want to keep the caption above the image, you should set 'floatCaption' to false so the caption does not overlap the image. Use the 'captionHeight' option to set the caption height.

If you want the image overlaid over the image, set the 'captionPosition' to 'OVERLAY_TOP'
