Topic: seperate SWF's for thumbs and main image

Hello all,

I just purchased the pro version of SimpleViewer and was wondering if it was possible to split the simpleviewer.swf in to 2 swf's. One with the main image and one with the thumbs.

I ask this because my website is divided into different DIV's. And I want the thumbs in a different  DIV than the main image.

Any Idea's?

Re: seperate SWF's for thumbs and main image

but isn't there a way to let the two swf's communicate with each other?

Re: seperate SWF's for thumbs and main image

There isn't really an easily way to separate the two. You might be able to come close by loading two instances of the galleries into the page and turning thumbs off in one and the image off in the other and then trying to pass info between the two using the API.

Why do you need to split SimpleViewer into 2 SWFs? Can you use the fixed layout options to get the layout you want?

Re: seperate SWF's for thumbs and main image

I think I need to split the files because my website is divided by a flash menu bar (see image below)
I would like to show the thumbs under the menu bar and the main image above the menu bar...

any idea's???

You could try setting the simpleviewer.swf to transparent and then using the fixed layout options to position the thumbs.
