Topic: Adding a jpg underneath captions

I have added a small jpg image underneath the captions (but contained within the caption area) that will be used as a button/link for each image using the <align="center"> command. But I cannot center it no matter what I try.

Any ideas?

Re: Adding a jpg underneath captions

Are you trying to add this code to the caption or to the HTML in your page? If you are trying to add it to the caption the caption supports the following tags, <font> <b> <u><a> and <br> and flash supports these.

#  align: Specifies the horizontal alignment of the embedded image within the text field. Valid values are left and right. The default value is left.

Thanks miker,

I'm trying to add it to the flash. Will give what you suggested a try.

Cheers.

Re: Adding a jpg underneath captions

I'm curious about this.

Say I use svmanager, edit the caption for an image, and then include <img src> -- it gets stripped out upon saving! However, if I edit gallery.xml and put it there manually (for the caption) then it shows the image just fine. Any reason for this?

I want to be able to place a small image within the caption of each photo -- I'm trying to figure out how to do that via javascript. I have the javascript functions defined within index.html but I'm not having any luck getting it to execute via a link in the caption field. I also have EnableAPI = true, etc.

Thoughts?

Re: Adding a jpg underneath captions

The images in captions is an interesting point...

I tried to insert only a png image inside the caption (no text).
If I put the caption in "overlay bottom" position, the image is cropped. The dimesion of the image is ignored. Only text modify the caption height area, not the images. I can't increase the caption height to see the image completely.

Any ideas about this?

Re: Adding a jpg underneath captions

@Ramblings I don't think you are going to be able to set the captions via javascript with the current API. You could set the captions by creating a dynamic xml that is fed to the gallery, but then you couldn't use svmanager.

@Bob FC if captionWidth and captionHeight aren't helping you could try moving the caption away from the other elements that might be overlapping it with fixed layout.
