Topic: 'Open URL' for just a single image of the gallery? how to?

Hello everyone!

i have a question for you :)

I'm finished developing my portfolio website, but I'm a having a small problem.

I have two different galleries: two portfolios, and I would like them to be linked together.
what I would like to have is that when someone is finished seeing "portfolio 1" he doesn't need to click on "portfolio2" to see the second one, but can go straight on it by clicking on the last image of the first gallery "portfolio 1".

I tried to play with the "Image click mode" -> 'open URL' and 'Navigation' , but it didn't work as it was affecting the whole gallery.

If anyone could help I would be very grateful!

thanks!

I still haven't tested the website on PC, i hope it works fine with other browsers then safari.

You are correct, 'imageClickMode' applies to the whole gallery. Adding image clicks to individual images is not supported and may be confusing to the user.

To add a link on your last image you could add it into the caption text.

Just curious why you wouldn't simply create a link (in the .xml file) that it clicks into the next gallery if you click the last one on the current portfolio.

Example:

<image imageURL="images/last-fashion-image.jpg" thumbURL="thumbs/sample.jpg" linkURL="http://www.mywebsite.com/personal/index.html" linkTarget="self" >
    <caption>Click on this image to go to the personal portfolio!</caption>
</image>

Perhaps I'm wrong (and I could be since I'm still learning this html stuff) but I think the way the above statement reads is that if you click on the last fashion image, you then "linkURL" (link) to your site ( ex. http://www.mywebsite.com) and the link Target (where it opens) is "self" which means it opens in the same page you're currently viewing, replacing the fashion slideshow with the personal slideshow.

Please see my posting (23 April);

if you use "_self" as the target rather than just "self" you can set the click on the last image to open an alternate gallery.
