Topic: Polish letters

Hi! Does Simpleviewer Pro 2 support polish letters? I tried with free version but all I got is leeter ó, the rest looks like this: []  sad

Re: Polish letters

Have you tried the following?

Non-English characters are not showing in the captions. Why?

To allow non-English characters to show, you must save your XML document with 'UTF-8' encoding (in Windows Notepad you can set this is the 'Save As' dialog). Check the documentation for your text editor.

Re: Polish letters

I tried it, didn't work. But I solved this (I think). It was default font - Helvetica. I deleted it from my computer and SimpleViewer started using Arial. And now I have what I wanted big_smile

Of course it's temporary solution, I need to buy pro version to change default font so other people with Helvetica on theirs PS's can see the captions without strange symbols wink

Re: Polish letters

It seems like the problem here is that you had a version of Helvetica installed on your machine that did not include the polish characters. On most machines the installed fonts will support the native language of the OS.
