Topic: Don't open a New Window - Instead open a link in the Active Window?

I've created a link in the xml file from an image file as follows;

<image imageURL="images/01.jpg"
    thumbURL="thumbs/01t.jpg"
    linkURL="index2.html"
    linkTarget="my_window">
    <caption>

Ideally I would like index2.html to open in the active window and not in a new window. Is this achievable?

I'm guessing I need to change the content of 'linkTarget' as the only similar question I could find trawlling through the forum suggested using "my_window" as the target.?

OK

...as no one responded I played around a bit more and found this post;

The last reply had a clue; using "self" as the target; that didn't work so I tried "_self" as the target and that worked; the active window is replaced by the new web page which is what I wanted.

Code as follows;

<image imageURL="images/01.jpg"
    thumbURL="thumbs/01t.jpg"
    linkURL="index2.html"
    linkTarget="_self">
    <caption>
