Topic: embedding my portfolio

I've embedded my gallery into my html for my website but what should be my full size image is only a single pixel.  It works properly in full screen mode, however.

Here's the page:
http://www.samlennon.net/portfolio.html

Has anyone dealt with this before?

I'm kind of stressed because I am trying to meet with some galleries and would love it if my site worked properly.  The thing is that I'm pretty new to this and get help from a friend.  She's at a loss, too.

Re: embedding my portfolio

Try setting your body, HTML and the table cell the the viewer is in to have a 100% width and height.

Re: embedding my portfolio

It is.

Actually, it seems to be a problem with the script.

Also, when I use simple viewer pro to make changes to the gallery and then SAVE those changes, they don't actually save.  Am I missing something here?

The table cell your are embedding SimpleViewer into is probably too small. This is your code, the HTML, body or the container that SimpleViewer is embedded into do not have width and height set.

Did you upload the gallery.xml and clear your browser's cache after making the change?

Re: embedding my portfolio

Ok, got the width taken care of.  Realized what you meant about the cache.  Please look at it now, though.  We can't figure out how to make it tall?

(thank you for your patience - I was losing it)

Re: embedding my portfolio

Hi,

Please revisit the site as the issue is still not resolved.  It's better but not resolved.  We've looked at everything we can think of but can not get the image to fill the space.

http://www.samlennon.net/portfolio.html

It's as wide as I could want, but the vertical is the issue.

Please look at it?

Re: embedding my portfolio

You added a width to your table that contains SimpleViewer, but it looks like the height is not defined for the table. As I said before you should add both a width and a height, so I would try adding a height to the table.

Re: embedding my portfolio

The height is 2000 pixels? How could it be larger than 2000 pixels?  Or do I have that in the wrong place?  Is that the place where you think I should make it 100%?

Re: embedding my portfolio

do I have that in the wrong place?

Yes, you need to set the height in your table not the object tag.

Re: embedding my portfolio

I am really sorry if I seem difficult.

What is this:
<table style="height: 100%;" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%">

That isn't the height in the table?  What table?

Re: embedding my portfolio

Change the following:
(the  bold code is what is new or different)

<table align="center" border="0" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="2" width="100%" height="100%">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td valign="top"  height="100%">
<object height="100%" width="100%">

Re: embedding my portfolio

whew!

thank you!

Is that the same area where I can change the background color to black?  I've looked and all that I can see of background colors everything is "000000"

What and I missing?

Re: embedding my portfolio

add <param name="bgcolor" value="000000" /> and add bgcolor="000000" to your <embed> tag

Mike Richards
SimpleViewer Support Team.

Re: embedding my portfolio

I only needed to add bgcolor="000000" to your <embed> tag
and that worked.  I'm big on making one change at a time, just in case everything goes haywire, and because I'm very new at this.

Thank you, hopefully I will not be bothering you again anytime soon.
