Topic: cms integration

Hi all,

I have purchased simpleviewer-pro because I would like to manage my pics only in Flickr, and use simpleviewer to embed in "semi-automated" way into my CMS .

So I have started to build my galleries using svBuilder with the "flickr" option and everything works perfect in "stand alone" way.

To embed the new created galleries i use "usual code"

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/swfobject/2.2/swfobject.js"></script>
<object width="100%" height="800px"><param name="movie" value="simpleviewer.swf?galleryURL=http://mysite.it/street/gallery.xml"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><param name="bgcolor" value="222222"></param><embed src="http://mysite.it/street/simpleviewer.swf?galleryURL=http://mysite.it/street/gallery.xml" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="100%" height="800px" bgcolor="252525"></embed></object>

also here its working perfectly with every browser except Internet Explorer that show a blank square.

Any ideas?

Re: cms integration

If you are using the object embed method you do not need the swfobject.js line, it is only used with the swfobject embed method. The code in your post does not match the code in your page. Remove the "www." from the code in your page and clear your browser's cache.

Your post:

<object width="100%" height="800px">
<param name="movie" value="simpleviewer.swf?galleryURL=http://mysite.it/street/gallery.xml"></param>
<param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param>
<param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param>
<param name="bgcolor" value="222222"></param>
<embed src="http://mysite.it/street/simpleviewer.swf?galleryURL=http://mysite.it/street/gallery.xml" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="100%" height="800px" bgcolor="252525"></embed>
</object>

Your page:

<object width="100%" height="931px">
<param name="movie" value="simpleviewer.swf?galleryURL=http://www.dueterzi.it/nucleo/flickr/models/gallery.xml"></param>
<param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param>
<param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param>
<param name="bgcolor" value="222222"></param>
<embed src="http://www.dueterzi.it/nucleo/flickr/models/simpleviewer.swf?galleryURL=http://www.dueterzi.it/nucleo/flickr/models/gallery.xml" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="100%" height="931px" bgcolor="252525"></embed>
</object>

</object>

Hi again.

after your post I've tried to fix as you suggested the embed code but nothing changed with internet explorer.

Initially I believed that the trouble could be caused using flickr option, but I verified this is not true.

Infact I upload into the server the "standard" gallery "web" from simpleviewer-pro file zip.

To better test the gallery integration I've made a new page for testing, that use the standard "web" gallery, and also I post following links & embed code complete, so you can help me to track the trouble.

1) direct link to the gallery with NO-INTEGRATION working fine with every browsers http://www.dueterzi.it/nucleo/flickr/web/
2) direct link to the gallery page with INTEGRATION do not work at all http://www.dueterzi.it/nucleo/page.php?35
3) embed code is

<object width='100%' height='800px'><param name='movie' value='simpleviewer.swf?galleryURL=http://dueterzi.it/nucleo/flickr/web/gallery.xml'></param><param name='allowFullScreen' value='true'></param><param name='allowscriptaccess' value='always'></param><param name='bgcolor' value='222222'></param><embed src='http://dueterzi.it/nucleo/flickr/web/simpleviewer.swf?galleryURL=http://dueterzi.it/nucleo/flickr/web/gallery.xml' type='application/x-shockwave-flash' allowscriptaccess='always' allowfullscreen='true' width='100%' height='800px' bgcolor='252525'></embed></object>

4) I use "e107 cms"

Thanks in advance.

Re: cms integration

Your code:

<object width='100%' height='800px'>
<param name='movie' value='simpleviewer.swf?galleryURL=http://dueterzi.it/nucleo/flickr/web/gallery.xml'></param><param name='allowFullScreen' value='true'></param>
<param name='allowscriptaccess' value='always'></param>
<param name='bgcolor' value='222222'></param>
<embed src='http://dueterzi.it/nucleo/flickr/web/simpleviewer.swf?galleryURL=http://dueterzi.it/nucleo/flickr/web/gallery.xml' type='application/x-shockwave-flash' allowscriptaccess='always' allowfullscreen='true' width='100%' height='800px' bgcolor='252525'></embed>
</object>

Why do your values for movie and embed src not match?

value='simpleviewer.swf?galleryURL=http://dueterzi.it/nucleo/flickr/web/gallery.xml'

VS

src='http://dueterzi.it/nucleo/flickr/web/simpleviewer.swf?galleryURL=http://dueterzi.it/nucleo/flickr/web/gallery.xml'

If you are going to use a normal gallery vs a flickr gallery you either need to update the image URLs in the gallery.xml or switch to using baseURL.

if you use baseURL http://dueterzi.it/nucleo/flickr/web/si … allery.xml would become http://dueterzi.it/nucleo/flickr/web/si … lickr/web/

If you continue to have issues I would suggest switching to the swfobject embed method as it is standards complaint and thus tends to work better across the different browsers.

Thanks, using "baseURL" works perfect!
