Topic: Help with Embedding

I've been trying this for a while now, and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I've created my gallery and created a new folder within my site called svgallery,  that contains all the files from the simple viewer (ie the gallery.xml file, the swf etc)  I then went to the svbuilder and found the gallery within that folder and changed a few parameters and got the embed code.  I created a new file called gallery.html and saved it inside the svgallery folder.

I then pasted the code into the head and body, but I don't know what I'm doing wrong as I cannot see the gallery.  Is it possible that you can't do this within a Dreamweaver template page?

I'll include my code and if anyone can tell me what I'm doing wrong, I'd be so grateful!

Re: Help with Embedding

the markup looks valid and it works ok in Chrome and kindo if IE. My guess is that you need to define the heights of your flashContent div, body and HTML in your CSS.

From the FAQ:

My gallery does not show in Firefox or gets cropped to a small height. Why?

Check your CSS. Firefox requires that you explicitly set the height of the html and body tags, plus the div that contains SimpleViewer. Try setting them all to 100% or the height you require in pixels. For an example, check the CSS in the index.html file that comes in the SimpleViewer download.

Re: Help with Embedding

Does that mean if I've made my viewer too large for the area, it just won't show up?

If so, I'll give that a try.

Thank you for replying.

No, some browsers just require that you define the height when you embed flash into your page.

Re: Help with Embedding

Thank you.  I have given up having inside the Div's I created.  But I can see it and it looks good.

Thank you for your help.
