Topic: Extend and read in XML-Values

Is there a way to access custom values added to the xml-document? I'm working on a project where our client likes to add information for location, picture-id, camera-model, etc.

The easiest solution would be if - besides <caption /> and <title /> - arbitrary additional tags would be provided as dynamic properties to the image-object...

Has anyone tackled that feature?

SimpleViewer 2 does not support adding custom XML tags to the gallery.xml, you can however place that information in the caption or your HTML.

Re: Extend and read in XML-Values

Thanks for the hint, miker.

I think I'll try it that way: I use the caption-tag to enter a unique string and the title-tag to enter a filename of an xml-document containing detailled information for any of those gallery-images. It should be possible to use the unique string to locate the element inside of that xml-document and get back all additional information needed.

If it works out and I have the time to code it in a nice way I'll come back and post the class, just in case anyone needs it.
