Topic: compact.xml options getting Cannot Parse XML gallery

when i go into my compact.xml and i try and add the option imageNavStyle="BIG" i get a cannot parse xml error, if i take it off and save the xml document it goes back to normal.....

i don't want the cursor option.

Your compact.xml file already has the entry imageNavStyle="CURSOR".
Is it possible that you are adding imageNavStyle="BIG" to the attributes rather than changing the value of the existing instance of imageNavStyle from CURSOR to BIG?  That would cause the 'Cannot Parse Gallery XML' message to be displayed.

no,

i originally had nothing regarding the imageNavStyle="CURSOR", i had no imagenavstyle parameter at all, but still noticed that there was a cursor, so i put that parameter back in to see what it would do, but i think i saved it because it didn't make a difference.

im using the compact.xml
the javascript file (not the one that is linked)
the pro swf file

and clearly everything else is working, so im a little stumped. its the only option so far that isnt responding...

You already have set imageNavStyle to none, you can only have one copy of each setting in your XML or you will get a Cannot parse XML error. Using your setting if I change thumbNavStyle="NONE" from none to big they gallery works fine. Remember to clear you browser's cache after you make the change.
