Topic: SV2 v1.x, v2.0.3, in LR3... should I go pro... Questions

Can someone briefly summarize the advantages of SV2 1.x versions over the newly released 2.0.3 for this newbie?

I notice, for example, that when using SV from LR3 my galleries are limited to 50 images. This is OK, for now but I'd like to know where this is controlled (LR or SV) and what other limitations are imposed. Also I'd like to be able to script the background color and style. Is this possible in the free version? How to use this functionality (or is it even possible) with Pro?

Can I create galleries in LR3 (as collections) and simply by using the LR3 settings in the Web module send them off to Flickr or Picasa or MobileMe? How?

I am not a Lightroom user but I can answer a few of your questions.
Any gallery (no matter how it is made) that uses the free version of SimpleViewer v2.0.3 (ie the standard simpleviewer.swf file) is limited to 50 images.  However, when swapping this swf file for the Pro version, this limit is lifted to unlimited (500 for Flickr galleries).

In both the free and Pro versions, you can set the background color via a flash param or you can set the background to be transparent, in which case you can use CSS to set the background color or image.

For differences between v1.9 and v2.0.3, see the version history:

A comparison chart between the free and Pro versions can be found here:

I do not see anywhere to set the Flash param to transparent so that code via CSS will apply. Where is it? Please point it out.

The only info here is how to upgrade to Pro in any of the non-Pro versions. Nothing about manipulating LR3 to produce web galleries. Also when reinstalling a new version of the gallery, all LR Album settings (Title, Description HTML Title) must be re-entered. Is there a way to save within LR3 (Collections saves only the picture elements)?

Thanks,

Henry

Please check out this FAQ in order to make the background transparent:

Unfortunately, I am unable to answer you Lightroom queries as I am not a Lightroon user.
