Topic: No Images Specified in Gallery XML?!

Hello,

I hope you can help. I've searched the forum and I can't seem to find just what I'm looking for...

I have SV pro and I just started using the SV WP plugin, which looks like it should be great, except I think it might not do what I want.

Is there any way to make an SV gallery out of images that are already on the site?

I have this: http://ofthecoast.ca/tag/bc-2010/ group of images and I'd love for them to be in an SV gallery. Is it not possible to (even manually) pick from my content on the site to make a custom gallery? Or do I have to upload everything two times?

Your help is very appreciated!

Re: No Images Specified in Gallery XML?!

Googling your query and searching though several forums, it would appear that it is not currently possible to attach an image in the WordPress Media Library to multiple posts so, ordinarily, you'd need to reupload your images.
You could, however, edit the gallery's xml file ('gallery_id.xml' in 'wp-content/uploads' folder) in a text editor to list the images you'd like in the gallery. Your xml file, with a single image entry, should look something like this:

<simpleviewergallery maxImageWidth="800" maxImageHeight="600" textColor="0xffffff" frameColor="0xffffff" frameWidth="0" thumbColumns="5" thumbRows="1" thumbPosition="BOTTOM" title="gt" showOpenButton="true" showFullscreenButton="true" languageCode="AUTO" languageList="" galleryStyle="COMPACT" useFlickr="false" flickrUserName="" flickrTags="">

</simpleviewergallery>
