I applied the suggested fixes for this, (the css check, checking the paths, and hotlink on servers) and still nothing. 
The weird thing is, the background image will display in the browsers but nothing else.  Theres no attempt to load the slideshow, its just giving me the tiled background image.
Locally, everything works great, so if theres any ideas on why nothing live on the server side, it is greatly appreciated!!  :)

Take a look at these FAQs:
My images show locally, but not when I upload them to my webserver. What are possible problems?
When I view my gallery online, I see a blank area. Why?
Without being able to see the gallery, it will be very difficult to determine the problem.
Even if the gallery does not work, you should be able to upload the files and post a URL to the gallery's index page in order for me to examine the code and help further.

ya, i read those articles.  its not that " i see a blank area", i just see my background image, but no slideshow.
