Topic: SVbuilder newbie

OK...so I have been through and created a gallery on my computer. Now....I have no idea how to get this to appear in my WordPress website.
I have tried to find basic instructions on how to do this but they stop at how to use the SVbuilder software.
Could someone please give me 5 minutes of their time to explain how to do this?
I am stumped!
Where do I put the folder SVBuilder has created and how do I get wordpress to know what to do with it?
I wait in hope...  smile

Re: SVbuilder newbie

There is a SimpleViewer plugin for WordPress (WP-SimpleViewer) which was designed specifically to create SimpleViewer galleries within the WordPress dashboard without the need to create a gallery first with svBuilder.
Instructions and the download link can be found here: http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/su … pleviewer/

Alternatively, you can still use svBuilder to create a gallery, upload the entire gallery folder and use the Using an External Gallery Folder embedding method to display the gallery (a WordPress plugin such as PageView will be required to insert an iframe into a post).

Re: SVbuilder newbie

Hi Steven,

Thank you for your reply...  smile
I know all about the simpleviewer plugin. I used this plugin on my other website here: http://www.dc-photographic.co.uk/cyprus … s/gallery/

I was a little disappointed potential customers couldn't see this on their iphones and ipads etc.
Since looking into the new simpleviewer 2 and finding out it made galleries in html5 which were viewable by these devices, I was more than pleased.
So with this in mind, am I going about it in the correct way (using svBuilder) and I use the method you laid out previously and use the "pageview" plugin? ....or is there another way to generate the gallery I am looking for within the wordpress dashboard?

Thank you in advance

Duncan

Re: SVbuilder newbie

Until WP-SimpleViewer is updated to use SimpleViewer v2.1.1 (with the HTML fallback for mobile devices), the best option is to create a v2.1.1 gallery with svBuilder, upload the gallery and load the gallery's HTML index page into an <iframe>.
Instructions on using the PageView plugin for WordPress (in order to use an <iframe>) can be found here: http://urbangiraffe.com/plugins/pageview/
Instructions on using an <iframe> to embed a SimpleViewer gallery can be found here: http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/su … l#external
