Topic: Wrong pictures show in different broswers

Im having a very unusual problem. The following gallery of railroad pictures appears correctly in Safari and Internet Explorer but when viewed in Fire Fox and Chrome, the entire page goes crazy and pictures of Bryce Canyon show up. This his happening to 10 of my photo galleries and I was supposed to launch this yesterday so Im pretty fustrated. I looked at the code and there is no mention of Bryce anywhere.

Re: Wrong pictures show in different broswers

Your embed code:

 <param name="movie" value="webchartergalleries/charter_382feb2010/simpleviewer.swf" />
            <param name="quality" value="high" />
            <param name="wmode" value="transparent" />

            <param name="swfversion" value="9.0.45.0" />
            <!-- This param tag prompts users with Flash Player 6.0 r65 and higher to download the latest version of Flash Player. Delete it if you don’t want users to see the prompt. -->
            <param name="expressinstall" value="../Scripts/expressInstall.swf" />
            <param name="flashVars" value="baseURL=webchartergalleries/charter_382feb2010" />
            <!-- Next object tag is for non-IE browsers. So hide it from IE using IECC. -->
            <!--[if !IE]>-->
            <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="webgalleries/flashgalleries/LS_monumentvalley/simpleviewer.swf" width="960" height="739">
              <!--<![endif]-->
              <param name="quality" value="high" />

              <param name="wmode" value="transparent" />
              <param name="swfversion" value="9.0.45.0" />
              <param name="expressinstall" value="../Scripts/expressInstall.swf" />
              <param name="flashVars" value="baseURL=webgalleries/flashgalleries/charter_382feb2010/simpleviewer.swf" />
              <!-- The browser displays the following alternative content for users with Flash Player 6.0 and older. -->
              <div>
                <h4>Content on this page requires a newer version of Adobe Flash Player.</h4>
                <p><a href="http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer"><img src="http://www.adobe.com/images/shared/download_buttons/get_flash_player.gif" alt="Get Adobe Flash player" width="112" height="33" /></a></p>

              </div>
              <!--[if !IE]>-->
            </object>
            <!--<![endif]-->
          </object>

I would suggest using the default SimpleViewer embed code or SWFObject instead of the object embed method that you are using as they are more standards complaint.

If you really want to continue using the object embed method your baseURL lines are wrong.

<param name="flashVars" value="baseURL=webchartergalleries/charter_382feb2010" />

Should be:

<param name="flashVars" value="baseURL=webchartergalleries/charter_382feb2010/" />

and

<param name="flashVars" value="baseURL=webgalleries/flashgalleries/charter_382feb2010/simpleviewer.swf" />

Should be:

<param name="flashVars" value="baseURL=webgalleries/flashgalleries/charter_382feb2010/" />
