Topic: Adding code to designate upated galleries

I'm using both simpleviewer (for a portfolio) and simpleviewer admin (for multiple galleries spanning my entire body of work) What I'm wondering, does anyone know a way to add a script, or the like, which would add a graphic to newly updated galleries on the main simpleviewer page? I love simpleviewer, but it's getting hard to keep track of newer shoots.

What do you mean by adding a graphic to a newly updated studio?

If you mean adding a newly upload picture to the gallery, you can use buildgallery.php and having to execute it each time you add a new picture to the gallery.

Re: Adding code to designate upated galleries

I can do that fine, I want there to be a graphic on the listing of all the galleries each time one of them is updated so the people who are looking can see when new things have been added. Sorry for not being clearer, it was late :-/ For instance, let's say I've got 25 galleries, and I add gallery 26. I'd like gallery 26 to have NEW in big red letters (or something similar) off to the side of it's title. Does that make a bit more sense?

Re: Adding code to designate upated galleries

You would have to modify the buildgallery.php to do that or whatever you used to generate the gallery to check by dates...

Standard, there isn't one

Nope....but I am in the process of re-writing the index.html file to index.php file.

It will check for new images added to the images subdirectory, and auto update the gallery.xml file and create the thumbnail automatically upon a user viewing your gallery..so you wouldn't have to run buildgallery.php each time you upload a new image..

Re: Adding code to designate upated galleries

Ah, now that would be something I'd be interested in. That wouldn't help out in Simpleviewer Admin at all would it?

Re: Adding code to designate upated galleries

I have tried the buildgallery from your website, and i cannot make it work sad

se it on this link

http://steady.dk/imu/img/test/buildgallery.php

there you can se the error!

I have made the folder structure
gallery1/images
gallery1/thumbs
gallery2/images
gallery2/thumbs

Do i have to make any modifications in the php file? Does this version also create the thumbs?
