Topic: gallery not showing after uploading to the server

Hi,
This is my first time posting on a forum and first time building a website.
i have created gallerys in Dreamweaver and when i save them f12 and view in the Web Browser they look great.
After i upload everything to the sever on the net using FileZilla and internet explorer the pages work but where the Gallerys should be there is nothing.

I put the gallery on the  html page by going to Insert > Media > Flash then directed to the swf file that is in a sub folder in my main root folder called product.

File: product/svcore/swf/simpleviewer.swf

Then enterd in the parameters to link the gallery to the productgallery.html witch is located in the main root folder.

Parameter            Value
flashVars              baseURL=product/
allowFullscreen     true

Everything from here worked fine but when the site is uploaded to the net the gallery does not show.

This is my site http://www.studiomoncrieff.com.au/

This is one of the pages where a gallery should be http://www.studiomoncrieff.com.au/productgallery.html

Any help would be much appricated
Thank you

Re: gallery not showing after uploading to the server

Do not use Dreamweaver's Insert -> Media menu action to embed the gallery as this will not insert the required JavaScript embed code. You can find directions for embedding the gallery here.

Re: gallery not showing after uploading to the server

Thank you!

I have followed your instructions and embeded the code but now i do not know how to link it to the external folder that contains the images,thumbs,svcor,gallery and productindex.

Becasue of this I am now gettting Gallery XML not found.

http://www.studiomoncrieff.com.au/productgallery.html

Last time i linked these to the html page this way:

File: product/svcore/swf/simpleviewer.swf

Parameter            Value
flashVars              baseURL=product/
allowFullscreen     true

Now because there is not a flash box to click i do not know how to do this.

I had a read through the directions for embedding the gallery link you forward to me and i can not seem to figure out how to link them.

This is the section where i embeded the code if it helps.

<!-- footer -->
<div id="main2">
          <!-- header -->
          <div id="header2">
            <div class="fleft"></div>
  </div>
          <!-- content -->
          <!-- footer -->

Re: gallery not showing after uploading to the server

Fantastic!

I got it to work by:

1) Using BaseURL (Recommended)

The only problem i have now is that the background of the simple viewer is grey when i customized it as black.

http://www.studiomoncrieff.com.au/productgallery.html

any tips to get it black?

Thanks chris
