Topic: Custom Buttons

Is there a way to add custom buttons/links onto the gallery space? I want to add one of those Stumble or Facebook icons or other links. I figured out that I can use the image caption to include links by inserting html codes so it displays under the caption, but is there a way to add buttons or links at other specific areas? Thanks

Re: Custom Buttons

SimpleViewer Pro does not support a custom button/link in amongst the normal gallery controls on the Flash stage.
Other than using the gallery title or a caption to hold the custom button/link, you could overlay a custom button/link on top of the gallery.
First, make your gallery's background transparent: http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/su … ml#embed_6
In the <head> section of your HTML page, use something like:

<style type="text/css">
    #overlay {
      position: absolute;
      top: 20px;
      left: 20px;
      z-index: 1;

... and in the <body> section:

<div id="overlay"><a href="http://www.example.com"><img src="image.jpg" width="200" height="100" alt="image" /></a></div>

Giving the <div> a z-index of 1 or above will result in the custom button/link being overlaid on top of the gallery elements.  A value of -1 or below will result in the custom button/link being displayed beneath the gallery elements.

Re: Custom Buttons

Hey, thanks. That works great. The only thing I would then add is a bg color to the body because it turned white due to the transparacy:
<body bgcolor="#a0a0a0">

Cheers  ;)

I'm glad to discover that this also allows adding new scripts:
<div id="overlay"><script src="http://www.stumbleupon.com/hostedbadge.php?s=4"></script></div>

This is wonderful and adds a lot more flexibility.
