Topic: Blogger Embed with iphone viewing?

I was able to embed the gallery with this code:

<object height="700" width="800"><param name="Movie" value="http://www.ironwooddesignstudio.com/swift/simpleviewer.swf">
<param name="Flashvars" value="xmlDataPath=http://www.ironwooddesignstudio.com/swift/gallery.xml">
<param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF">
<embed src="http://www.ironwooddesignstudio.com/swift/simpleviewer.swf" flashvars="xmlDataPath=http://www.ironwooddesignstudio.com/swift/gallery.xml" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" bgcolor="#FFFFFF" height="700" width="880"></embed></object>

This is how it looks: http://racheltesting12345.blogspot.com/p/gallery.html

How can I get this to show up on the iphone?

Re: Blogger Embed with iphone viewing?

It is not possible to have the mobile functionality (HTML fallback for mobile devices and browsers that do not have Adobe Flash Player installed) of SimpleViewer v2.1.2 by embedding only the SWF file which is what your embedding code currently does.
Please follow the SimpleViewer Embedding Guide here: http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/su … edding.htm

Re: Blogger Embed with iphone viewing?

I have tried some of them but I was not able to make them work on blogger. Can you please let me know which type of embedding I should use in order for it to work on blogger and the iphone?

Re: Blogger Embed with iphone viewing?

Having done a quick web search, I found the following quote from this web page.

If you are operating a blog hosted by Blogger, that is, using the http://yourblog.blogspot.com format, then you will not be able to upload files. This option is disabled on Blogger hosted sites for security reasons.

You will, therefore, need to find an alternative home for your gallery files.  If you do not have an alternative hosting solution, you could use Dropbox, dropping your gallery folder into your 'Public' Dropbox folder.  Otherwise, upload the gallery folder to your web server.
In your Blogger post, select 'Edit HTML' and paste in the code for either of the 2 methods described in the Using an External Gallery Folder embedding guide, changing the paths to the gallery files as appropriate.
If using Dropbox, you can find the URLs of the individual files by right-clicking each file in the Dropbox web interface and selecting 'Copy public link'.
If using 1) Using BaseURL, you'll need to know (and change) the URL for the 'simpleviewer.js' file and the gallery folder.
If using 2) Using an iFrame, you'll need to know (and change) the URL for the gallery's HTML index file.
