Topic: Height Problem on iPhone (Add link to website)

I want to have a link above or below the full screen viewer back to the rest of my website. I cannot figure out how to put a single link in the viewer so I changed the body background color to the same background color as my simpleviewer:

<body bgcolor="#10578D">

Then I set the height of the simpleviewer to 94% and tried putting this line above and below for a link:

<center><a style="color: #FFFFFF; font-weight: bold;" href="../">Back to Tank Pics</a></center>

The images show up fine but the comments in the dark gray area below the images are pushed down on the iPhone. See the screenshot:

The page only looks goofed up on the iPhone. I tested on a Droid X as well and the screen appears to be big enough to accommodate the link and viewer.

The link is http://quicky2g.sytes.net/fish/tanksmobile

If there is a way to add a single fixed link in simpleviewer, or some HTML/CSS adjustment I can make... any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Height Problem on iPhone (Add link to website)

You can add a single fixed link in SimpleViewer Pro (not the Standard version) by using the Back Button:
http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/pr … backbutton

The back button can be used to link to any URL and its text can also be set.
However, the Back Button will not be displayed in mobile mode.

In your 94% gallery example, you could perhaps put the link in a <div> with height 6% and ensure the body and html elements have a height of 100%.  This should ensure that everything fits on the screen.

Re: Height Problem on iPhone (Add link to website)

I tried putting the link inside a div and I'm still having some trouble with it. It shows up fine in a PC browser but I'm still getting the same behavior as before on my iPhone.

I tried setting the html and body height to 100% and the div height with the link to 6% height...still no luck on the iPhone. I even tried setting the html and body height to 80% as well as simpleviewer to 80% height but simpleviewer still shows up the same way on my iPhone. Is it designed to fill up the entire screen on a mobile browser even if height and width options are changed? I can't seem to find a way to shrink the size of simpleviewer in a mobile browser (My iPhone). Any ideas?

This strange behavior may be due to a layout bug.
We will look into it further.

What version of SimpleViewer are you using? Can you provide a URL to the gallery so we can take a look?
