Topic: Changing function of thumbnail arrows

Is there an easy way to change the function of the thumbnail arrows to progress the photo instead of the thumbnails? I see this question was asked and answered for version 1.9, but I can't figure out a solution for 2.1.1. I have svBuilder-Pro. Help on this would be much appreciated.

Re: Changing function of thumbnail arrows

I wouldn't recommend using the thumbnail arrows for image navigation. You could use the button bar nav arrows instead. Set the 'showNavButtons' option to true: http://www.simpleviewer.net/simpleviewe … #buttonbar

Re: Changing function of thumbnail arrows

Thanks for the recommendation and the quick reply, Felix. Unfortunately I'm not able to convince my client that this is the best solution. The location of the navigation bar is not flexible. There seems to be only two visual ways to progress the image; via navigation bar and via image arrows.

My client would like the image progression arrows to sit left and right of the thumbnails, like so:

I've seen this requested several times in your forum. Perhaps changing the functionality of the thumbnail arrows can become a recommendation for future upgrades.  In version 1, this seemed doable with a change in the actionscript.  In version 2, I'm guessing the only way is to adding an API. Any other suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Changing function of thumbnail arrows

You could accomplish this by turning the thumbnail navigation off by setting them to none, embedding the gallery in a container flash and creating your own arrows using the API.
