Topic: Porta + Simpleviewer Problem...

Hello you, maybe some of you can help me, dont think I am the only one who has (had) that problem.

I´ve been creating a Simpleviewer Gallery with the help of Porta, watching it after creating the gallery on my PC is no problem,-
But as soon (and I really followed every tutorial I could find) as I want to upload it to my page or watch it previewed in my homepage-maker (nvu) the result is this:

This Porta-generated SimpleViewer album requires Adobe Flash ver. 7 (or newer).

If you already have Flash installed, view the Flash-based album.

Otherwise, view the HTML-based album.

I have Flash installed. Just dont know what to do...am a bit desperated

Thank you! Lilly PS.

Please post a URL to the gallery so that we can take a look.

Re: Porta + Simpleviewer Problem...

The link you posted leads to a completely blank page.
Once you have created your gallery successfully, you could upload it to your web site with an FTP program (such as FileZilla) and use one of these embedding methods in your web design software: http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/su … l#external

Re: Porta + Simpleviewer Problem...

Your new link leads not to a blank page but to a non-existent page.
Try uploading the gallery to a folder which does not contain any special characters, ie. make sure the entire URL contains only alphanumeric characters (a-z, A-Z, 0-9).
Once you've uploaded your gallery, you should be able to see (and navigate through) the files on the web server in your FTP program's interface.
Also, are you uploading the gallery files to the correct location?
When you log in to your web server, there may be a folder named 'htdocs' or 'public_html'.
If so, then this is where files should be uploaded to appear in the root of your domain.  Anything outside these folders will not show up on the web.
