Topic: Absolute File Paths

I am embedding Simpleviewer Pro into a CMS system named "CMS Made Simple". I am using absolute file paths to embed the file. I've followed the instructions on where to put the BaseURL, but the gallery is still not showing up. Can you help me figure out where the problem is? The URL of the page it is embedded into is: http://www.unmalumni.com/programs/award … broff.html

My code is:

<div id="header">
            <!--START SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED -->
            <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.alumni.com/flash/awards-sv-pro/svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>
            <script type="text/javascript">
              var flashvars = {};
              flashvars.baseURL = "http://www.unmalumni.com/flash/awards-sv-pro/";
              jQuery(document).ready(function () {
              SV.simpleviewer.load('sv-container', '570', '250', 'FFFFFF', true, flashvars);
              });
            </script>
            <div id="sv-container"></div>
            <!--END SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED -->
          </div>

Re: Absolute File Paths

Your 'simpleviewer.js' file is not located at http://www.alumni.com/flash/awards-sv-p … eviewer.js
Check the location of your 'svcore' folder.

Re: Absolute File Paths

Are you saying that I have url for the simpleviewer.js wrong. The permissions on the simpleviewer.js is 644. Should it be 755?
Is my base url correct?

Thanks!

Re: Absolute File Paths

The 'src' attribute in this line should point to the 'simpleviewer.js' file:

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.alumni.com/flash/awards-sv-pro/svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>

However, opening this URL in a browser leads to a generic alumni.com page implying an error 404 (file not found).

Change this line to:

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.unmalumni.com/flash/awards-sv-pro/svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>

Your baseURL looks OK.

Re: Absolute File Paths

Geez, I verified that url at least 50 times for typos...and completely missed that. Thank you for getting back to me!
