Topic: Colours in jpgs look 16bit in non fullscreen but 24bit in fullscreen?

Hi there,

I just noticed some of my 24 bit Jpgs show as if taken in 16 bit colour when the slideshow is NOT full screen in Firefox 4.0 or IE9.
They are 24bit colour and can be seen normally if I right click and view full screen.

They are from a flight sim, taken the same way so have no special colour profiles I know of etc.
Just BMP to jpg converted with the same program.

Here's our gallery

Picture no5 is a good example. You can see inside the cockpit is blocks of colour in normal view, and 24bit smooth in full screen view.   Any ideas please?

Cheers

Mark

Viewing on Windows 7 64 bit with Firefox 4.0.  Latest SimpleViewer Pro, Adobe Air updated etc.  Same in IE 9 and on a different monitor too.

I'm not seeing any difference in the colors in Firefox 4 or IE8 or Google Chrome on XP when viewing the images in SimpleViewer vs flash fullscreen vs opening the image in a new window.

What version of flash are you using?

Hi Mike,

Ok thanks for checking. That's good in a way and bad in another of course wink

That link reports Flash version
WIN 10,2,153,1
Win 7
Video capable: Yes
Audio  "         : Yes
Local File I/O Enabled: Yes

I took some screenshots in both modes
odd colour

If your brightness is turned down a fair way I guess you may not notice but the It's only noticable in the darker areas in this shot (I edited the first picture to indicate where to look  (I found moving around in front of the monitor makes it more obvious or turn up brightness maybe).

Actually here you go side by side, and I increased brightness by 100 in Photoshop in each to help show the difference

Any further ideas Mike ?

Re: Colours in jpgs look 16bit in non fullscreen but 24bit in fullscreen?

Try setting Use Color Correction to false either in svbuilder or by changing your embed code to match the code bellow. Make sure to clear your browser's cache after making the change.

SV.simpleviewer.load('sv-container', '100%', '100%', '222222', true , null, null, null, false);
