Re: Why my gallery have space by Internet Explorer 8

Are you using the latest version of SimpleViewer Pro (v2.1.3)?
If not, try upgrading to the latest version and see if this makes a difference.
Please see this page for details: http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/pr … grade.html

Also, try setting your gallery dimensions to 100% x 100%, ie:

simpleviewer.load("sv-container", "100%", "100%", "222222", true);

I'm using SimpleViewer Pro v2.1.3.
I checked my gallery index file.
But,this parts is same(simpleviewer.load('sv-container', '100%', '100%', '222222', true);).
If you can try,I can sent my gallery file.

Re: Why my gallery have space by Internet Explorer 8

Check your CSS matches the CSS used in the demo page, specifically the HTML and Body padding and margins.

Re: Why my gallery have space by Internet Explorer 8

I  use svBuilder-Pro(2.1.3),make this galler.

I don't customize CSS.
No special customize.

Re: Why my gallery have space by Internet Explorer 8

Yes, it's odd since your page is exactly the same as the SV default page that does not have the extra padding.

Possibly you got an outdated version of v2.1.3. Please try re-downloading the latest version of SimpleViewer v2.1.3 again. If that's not it, it must be something different in the way your server serves HTML + CSS files.

Re: Why my gallery have space by Internet Explorer 8

I have exactly the same problem: http://fredkamphues.com/test/index.html
White borders in IE7 and 8 and inproper scaling. Firefox and Chrome are fine.
I tried various computers. It's all the same.

I upgraded to the pro version and the borders appeared.
Removing the non-pro version and re-installing the pro version did not solve my problem.

@millhouse

Try adding the following to the <head> section of your page:

<style type="text/css">
body {
    margin: 0;
}
html {
    overflow: hidden;
}
<style>

Re: Why my gallery have space by Internet Explorer 8

Hi Steven,
The test page is http://fredkamphues.com/test/index.html.
Frontpage 2000 automatically adds an extra </head> line to the code when I save it.

I still don't understand why the free verison works fine and the pro version has this problem.

Re: Why my gallery have space by Internet Explorer 8

Currently, nothing is displayed on your test gallery page at all.
Your page currently uses an opening <style> tag instead of a closing </style> tag.
Also, you should remove the closing </head> tag from after the closing </html> tag at the end of your HTML document.
If you cannot prevent Frontpage 2000 from adding the </head> tag, then edit the HTML file in a plain text editor such as Windows Notepad after saving the document in Frontpage 2000.

Re: Why my gallery have space by Internet Explorer 8

This is going to be painfully cumbersome to make a gallery that works.
I was looking for an easy to use solution that would work on all common browsers.

Re: Why my gallery have space by Internet Explorer 8

SimpleViewer does work with all major browsers.

Frontpage 2000 automatically adds an extra </head> line to the code when I save it.

If Frontpage adds an extra </head> tag to your code (thereby invalidating the code on the page and causing browsers to render the page incorrectly), then the problem lies with Frontpage rather than SimpleViewer.
Try embedding your gallery using an <iframe> (as documented here) and see if Frontpage adds any unneccessary (and unwanted) code to this.
