Topic: Thumb scroll button hiding with black background

This gallery http://www.nzphotos2u.com/landscape3.html has a black background which is hiding the scroll button for the thumbnails.

Please can someone tell me how to get them to show up? They do appear with a background of any colour except black, but the gallery needs to be black to fit in with the web design.

Thanks in advance,
Jo

In SimpleViewer Standard, you could change the frameColor, though this would change not only the color of the thumb navigation arrows but also the color of the image frame, thumbnail frame and image navigation arrows.

In SimpleViewer Pro you can set the color of the thumb navigation arrows (independently of all other elements) through use of the thumbNavColor, thumbNavHoverColor, thumbNavBackColor and thumbNavBackOpacity Pro Options.

Re: Thumb scroll button hiding with black background

Hi Steven, thanks for replying.
I've decided that the "classic" view works best - we did like "compact" but it was cropping the images.

However the image name is scrunched up as in http://nzphotos2u.com/landscape_classic.html

I looked in gallery.xml and couldn't see an option to reduce text size. Is this an option?

Cheers,
Jo

Re: Thumb scroll button hiding with black background

In SimpleViewer Standard, the captions are displayed beneath the thumbnails (if they are positioned LEFT or RIGHT).
If you have a single column of thumbnails, then the width available for the captions becomes very narrow.

With SimpleViewer Pro, you can position the captions with the captionPosition option.

With SimpleViewer Pro, you also have the option to use a Fixed Layout which would allow you to give absolute fixed positions to stage elements.

An alternative might be for you to have a single row of thumbnails beneath the main image in which case the captions would appear in an overlay over the main image when the user hovers over the image.
