Topic: What am I doing wrong here!? RE: Simpleviewer Pro + Flash

Hey all,

I just recently purchased Simpleviewer Pro and it's quite a beautiful design.  I'm designing a webpage in flash that you can preview here.  Using SV Pro for one gallery was no problem at all.

However, for some reason, implementing a second gallery isn't working.  I used the code directly from the "multiple galleries" example and I've provided screenshots of what my .fla file looks like.

Main timeline
Portfolio button

[/url]

I'm not quite sure what's wrong with the code since I copied it directly from the example (and applied my own instance names, of course).

As it stands now, when you click on Portfolio (instance name = portfolio_btn), nothing happens at all.

Please help!! Thanks in advance.

Hi,
We need to see your code from multi_galleries.fla
Please post it here
Richard

on edit, Nevermind pasting the code here, I zoomed in on the screenshot smile
duh

Your mcLoader mc is only on frames 1 thru 4, it isn't there to be loaded when the timeline goes to "portfolio"

s  t   r   e  c   h    it the entire lenght of the timeline

Re: What am I doing wrong here!? RE: Simpleviewer Pro + Flash

Richard,

Thanks for the prompt reply.

Here's the code as listed in the multiple_galleries.fla:

//Example of loading multiple SimpleViewer swfs into another flash movie.
//set width and height of SimpleViewer swf
_global.SVStageWidth = 640;
_global.SVStageHeight = 420;

//Set button actions
mcGal1.onRelease = function(){
    loadGallery("gallery1.xml");
}

mcGal2.onRelease = function(){
    loadGallery("gallery2.xml");
}

function loadGallery(galName){
    _root.xmlDataPath = galName;
    mcLoader.loadMovie("viewer.swf");
}

//load first gallery
loadGallery("gallery1.xml");

The only changes I made were to the instance names (ie, mcGal1 to portfolio_btn, etc.)--the rest remains unchanged.

Thanks!
