Topic: Need assistance embedding code

Hello, I've tried embedding the code into my website, but I don't see the images in the browser or any error messages. Just a blank space on the page. Can you help!! Placing the images into the gallery was quite simple and enjoyable to create, just stumbled when getting to the html stuff. Please keep it simple!!! My site is http://michellelewisdesign.com/gallery.html

Thanks!!

Re: Need assistance embedding code

Your embedding code is looking for the 'simpleviewer.js' file here http://michellelewisdesign.com/svcore/javascript/simpleviewer.js but going directly to this address in a browser gives an error 404 (file not found).
Upload your gallery's 'svcore' folder to the root directory of your web space (in the same directory as your 'gallery.html' file).

Re: Need assistance embedding code

Thanks,  I still have not successfully loaded everything, but at least now I can see a message in the space - "Gallery XML not found". Also, when I try to publish the files with Yahoo Sitebuilder, I see a message that the image files in the SimpleViewer file may be missing or broken and would I like to skip publishing.

Re: Need assistance embedding code

The gallery's 'gallery.xml' file and the 'images' and 'thumbs' folders should also be in the same directory alongside the 'gallery.html' file and the 'svcore' folder.

Re: Need assistance embedding code

Thanks again, seems I'm a step closer! The images are showing on the site in the browser. However, My original home page (index.html file) has changed to the Simple viewer as well. The gallery shows up in two places. But, on my home page the orginal page is missing and there are no links to anything else.

Re: Need assistance embedding code

If you have duplicate file names, then keep all your gallery files in a separate folder and choose one of the two embedding methods described here, 'Using an External Gallery Folder': http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/su … l#external
