Topic: Cut off thumbnails

Hi,
The bottom row (with thumbnails and link to simpleviewer) of the embedded gallery is cut off:
http://fredkamphues.com/

The non embedded page is:
http://fredkamphues.com/portfolio.html

The menu bar is:
http://www.fredkamphues.com/menu.html

The problem occurs in IE, Firefox and Chrome.
I am using svBuilder v2.1.1 in Windows XP pro 64 bit.

Any idea what could be the problem?

Regards,
Fred Kamphues

Re: Cut off thumbnails

Your menu and gallery together have a combined height greater than the height of the browser window, hence the vertical scrollbar.
An example of 'Using a Resizable Gallery with a Header' can be found here: http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/su … #resizable
The example is downloadable and you can replace the sample gallery with your own and put your menu in the header.

Re: Cut off thumbnails

Hi Steven,
If I copy the following files and directories into the gallery1 directory:
gallery.xml
index.html
images
thumbs
Only the header is shown

If I inlcude the directory svcore the lower part is cutoff again.
Am I missing something?

Re: Cut off thumbnails

If I copy the following files and directories into the gallery1 directory:
gallery.xml
index.html
images
thumbs
Only the header is shown

Copying your gallery's 'index.html' file into the 'gallery1' folder will overwrite the existing 'index.html' file which contains the resizing code.
Instead, open up the original 'index.html' file from the 'gallery1' folder and copy and paste your menu code between the <div id="header"> and </div> tags.
Then copy and paste your gallery's 'gallery.xml' file and 'images' and 'thumbs' folders into the 'gallery1' folder.

Re: Cut off thumbnails

Thanks Steven, that works.
But how do I make this my index file in the root?

I think I will use simpleviewer.load("sv-container", "100%", "89%" as a workaround and upgrade to simpleviewer pro when this embed option is implemented in a more user friendly way.

Fred

But how do I make this my index file in the root?

You should be able to move all your files and folders into one directory (the root of your web server) and change any relative paths to files (such as the jQuery JavaScript file) accordingly.

Essentially:
(1) Move the 'css', 'js' and 'svcore' folders from the 'vertical-template' folder into the 'vertical-template/gallery1' folder (alongside all your other gallery files and folders)
(2) In the 'index.html' page in the 'gallery1' folder, change the lines:

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen" href="../css/sv.vertical.template.css" />
<script type="text/javascript" src="../js/jquery-1.4.4.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="../svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>

... to:

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen" href="css/sv.vertical.template.css" />
<script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery-1.4.4.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>

(3) Copy the contents of the 'gallery1' folder to the root of your web server
