Topic: Problem with css drop-down menù (explorer)

Hi,
some months ago i have purchased SimpleViewer and now i have used it in the webproject, but i have a little (i think!) problem: with Explorer the sub-menu of drop-down css menù open under the gallery. (You can see there: http://www.tipeco.it/demo/case-in-legno … ipeco.html , if u go over "PRODOTTI").

I have used this code to embed the gallery:
<!--START SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED.-->
  <script type="text/javascript" src="svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>
  <script type="text/javascript">
  var flashvars = {};
  flashvars.galleryURL = "gallery-case-in-legno-e-bungalows-tipeco.xml";

  jQuery(document).ready(function () {
    SV.simpleviewer.load('sv-container', '680', '400', '8ab846', true, flashvars);
  });
  </script>
  <div id="sv-container"></div>
<!-- END SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED -->

I think i must pass the "wmode=transparent" value but i don't be able sad

Please U can help me?

thanks,
bye bye

Francesco

Re: Problem with css drop-down menù (explorer)

Please see this FAQ for details: http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/su … ml#embed_5
Use the following embedding code:

<!--START SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED.-->
<script type="text/javascript" src="svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
var flashvars = {};
flashvars.galleryURL = "gallery-case-in-legno-e-bungalows-tipeco.xml";
jQuery(document).ready(function () {
SV.simpleviewer.load('sv-container', '680', '400', 'transparent', true, flashvars);
});
</script>
<div id="sv-container" style="background-color: #8ab846;"></div>
<!-- END SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED -->

Re: Problem with css drop-down menù (explorer)

I have the same issue with Chrome as well but I am using Iframes. What would be the differernce or any? Can I add "transparent" to the gallery.xml?

@page

Can I add "transparent" to the gallery.xml?

No. The background can be made transparent only via the embedding code.
Setting the background color Embed Code Parameter to 'transparent' (as in the code I posted above) sets the flash parameter 'wmode' to 'transparent'.
If using Internet Explorer and an <iframe>, you should also add the attribute allowtransparency="true" to your <iframe>, eg:

<iframe src="http://www.example.com/gallery/index.html" width="800" height="600" frameborder="0" scrolling"no" allowtransparency="true"></iframe>

If you continue to experience difficulties, please post the URL to your gallery so that we can take a look.

Re: Problem with css drop-down menù (explorer)

Hi Steven
I added the transparent attribute but it still comes up behind the show in Explorer. In firefox it works.

I have :
<iframe src="http://mysite.com/newviewer/index.html" width="831" height="400" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true" scrolling="no"></iframe>

Is there anything else I need to change?

Re: Problem with css drop-down menù (explorer)

Hi Steven
The drop down wasn't active. Try it now and I think you will see the issue.

Re: Problem with css drop-down menù (explorer)

Have you made your gallery's background transparent as well as adding the 'allowtransparency' attribute to your iframe?
Please see this FAQ for details: http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/su … ml#embed_5

Re: Problem with css drop-down menù (explorer)

Where do I make the back ground transparent, in gallery.xml? the iframe has been changed to include transparent, see above.

Re: Problem with css drop-down menù (explorer)

Please post the URL to your gallery and I will take a look.

Where do I make the back ground transparent, in gallery.xml?

Not in the XML file, but in the HTML file into which the gallery is embedded (ie. the 'index.html' file in the gallery folder which the <iframe>'s 'src' attribute points towards).
In this file, you will have a line of code such as:

simpleviewer.load("sv-container", "100%", "100%", "222222", true);

Change this to:

simpleviewer.load("sv-container", "100%", "100%", "transparent", true);

If you wish to retain your gallery's background color, you can style the 'sv-container' <div> (in the same file) by changing:

<div id="sv-container"></div>

... to:

<div id="sv-container" style="background-color: #222222;"></div>

Re: Problem with css drop-down menù (explorer)

Your drop-down menu appears in front of your gallery in Chrome 12 on my PC.
Try clearing your browser's cache before reloading the gallery.
