Topic: used to use file exporter with iphoto now new Simple viewer Pro-user

I have been a Fan of Simple Viewer for a few years now and purchased the New Simple viewer Pro software (with non flash Capabilities) YAY!!!

any way... I used to create the Galleries in iphoto and use FA exporter to create the simple viewer gallery, then I'd upload the files to Mobile ME and share them. Then the link would then be used on our web site.
I'm enjoying using the new simple viewer interface and it gives me the files in a similar way. Which I then upload to mobile me... unfortunately I have not been able to get them load properly.  I even tried the Html and pasted in in a html box provided by iweb.. with no success.
any suggestions?

Re: used to use file exporter with iphoto now new Simple viewer Pro-user

Try the following:
(1) Create your SimpleViewer Pro gallery with sv-Builder Pro: http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/pr … uilderpro/
(2) Upload the entire gallery folder (not just the contents) to your web server with an FTP program such as Filezilla: http://filezilla-project.org/
(3) Embed the gallery using one of the two methods described here: http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/su … l#external
If you continue to experience difficulties, please post the URL to your gallery so that we can take a look.

Re: used to use file exporter with iphoto now new Simple viewer Pro-user

I'm not sure changing how I'm uploading will fix the problem?

This link works made with the original simple viewer process...
http://web.me.com/jmbglass/iWeb/jmbtest/jmbsimpletest/

This is the link I'm hoping to get working with the simple viewer pro gallery..
http://web.me.com/jmbglass/iWeb/jmb simple test3/

perhaps I'm just missing something in my code?
would you mind taking a look before I go through all of that other mess?

Re: used to use file exporter with iphoto now new Simple viewer Pro-user

Neither of your links seems to work. They both lead to 'Not found'.

Sorry this one should work
http://web.me.com/jmbglass/iWeb/jmb%20s … test3/jmb/

the web site that these will be used for is www.jmbglass.com

Thanks again for helping mr on this one..

Re: used to use file exporter with iphoto now new Simple viewer Pro-user

You do not seem to be embedding a gallery in an existing page alongside other content, rather you seem to link directly to the gallery itself.
If this is, indeed, the case, then you can either:
(1) Create a gallery from scratch with svBuilder-Pro and upload the gallery files to your
http://web.me.com/jmbglass/iWeb/jmb%20simple%20test3/jmb/ folder, overwriting the existing gallery, or...
(2) If you have the gallery on your hard drive, you can follow the Upgrading Exisiting Galleries to Version 2.1.3 instructions to upgrade the gallery to v2.1.3 and then upload the files to your jmb/ folder.

Re: used to use file exporter with iphoto now new Simple viewer Pro-user

I tried publishing to from the simple viewer pro directly to the folder in Mobile Me,  and then sharing the file
I'm not sure why this process works with the file exporter and not the simple viewer pro?
I have also tried directly embedding the HTML link in the page... but its a mac type page not real HTML editing
sorry to be such a pain in the A$$..

Re: used to use file exporter with iphoto now new Simple viewer Pro-user

I am not familiar with Mobile Me but SimpleViewer-Pro is more than just a single file. It is a collection of files, all of which are required to have a correctly functioning gallery.
If you have standard FTP access to your web host, I would recommend uploading your entire gallery folder (not just the contents) directly to the server using an FTP program such as Filezilla.
You should then be able to either:
(1) Link directly to your gallery's HTML index page from another page (which you seem to be doing just now), or...
(2) Embed the gallery into an existing HTML page alongside other content by using one of these two methods
The link you most recently posted leads to an error 404 (file not found) so, unfortunately, this does not help.

Hi Steven, how do I get the gallery titles to stack up on each other the first one works then they run side by side?

Put a line break <br /> after each </a> tag.
