Topic: Nothing, not a thing.

Good afternoon,

I generated a SV gallery for the pages on my site and copied the whole SV folder of galleries to where my HTML pages are stored.

I then copied the embeded coded into the HTML page, saved and clicked to review and nothing, not a this.

Here is the full HTML code for 1 of the pages.

Re: Nothing, not a thing.

Please post the URL to your gallery so that we can take a look.

Re: Nothing, not a thing.

I dont have a URL at the moment, just a local host.
Are we saying that in loacal host we cannot see the slideshow, but if my site is "live" will we see the slide show.

How does the code look with it embeded, I dont think I did anything wrong.

Thanks

Re: Nothing, not a thing.

Your gallery should display locally as it would when uploaded to a web server.
However, there are several features that do work only when uploaded to a web server, eg. using Flickr as a source of images and the Download Button.
Using your code in a test gallery, my gallery displays fine locally so the problem lies elsewhere, hence my request for a URL to examine your gallery's structure and files.
Make sure all your gallery files are in their correct locations according to the SimpleViewer Embedding Guide: http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/su … dding.html
Also, take a look at the FAQs in case one of them describes your scenario and helps: http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/support/faq.html
If you are able to upload your gallery to a web server and post the URL, I would likely be able to determine the cause of the problem.

Re: Nothing, not a thing.

Good morning everyone,

Okay following on from my last post and watching a video on you tube, I have now established the cotrrect way in using SV and the amending the gallery in DW CS5, however I can see my image in the thumbnail on the left, but when the image is clicked all that appears is a white cross where the image should be.

Has anyone got any suggestions.

I opened the gallery in DW CS5 and added my website around the code and only change the file ref on the link and all fine when viewing on IE, but only able to see a white cross although the image can be clearly seen in the thumbnail on the left.

Thanks

Re: Nothing, not a thing.

The paths to your images (the 'imageURL's in the gallery's XML file) are likely to be incorrect.
Please see this FAQ regarding seeing crosses where images should be: http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/su … #trouble_2
