Topic: Lot of space above and below the SV gallery

I've been using SimpleViewer 1.4 for quite some time, but I finally made the switch to 2.1.3
It's a lot easier... ghehe.

My problem though: SimpleViewer takes a big amount of space before showing anything at all.
Like on this page: http://www.bangingsoundsofsilence.nl/Foto/Belcanto1/

Since I seem to be unable to change the font-size of the gallery title (a description won't fit anymore), I would like to add a few lines of comment below the gallery.
This is impossible (or not very good looking -> scrollbar) while SV is taking this space.
I tried already reducing the sv-container div (height: 500px) but this won't work.

It seems the space is inside the Flash object and is used for the 'open in new window' or 'go fullscreen' buttons.
I won't use these, yet the space is there.
The space below the gallery is just stupid.

Anyone got an idea to remove this?

Re: Lot of space above and below the SV gallery

Got it!

When modifying the height parameter of the simpleviewer.load function call in the embed script, you can modify this behaviour.

However, this seems not logical.
When applying 100% height to content, it should be 100% of the div it is in, in this case the sv-container div.
If this div is specified at 500px, the content (flash object) should never exceed the div.
Bug?

Re: Lot of space above and below the SV gallery

If you wish your gallery to be 500px tall, then you can either set the gallery's height to 500px:

<!--START SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED.-->
<script type="text/javascript" src="svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
simpleviewer.ready(function () {
simpleviewer.load("sv-container", "100%", "500px", "222222", true);
});
</script>
<div id="sv-container"></div>
<!-- END SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED -->

... or set the gallery's height to 100% and set the gallery's parent container's height to 500px:

<!--START SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED.-->
<script type="text/javascript" src="svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
simpleviewer.ready(function () {
simpleviewer.load("sv-container", "100%", "100%", "222222", true);
});
</script>
<div id="parent" style="height: 500px;">
<div id="sv-container"></div>
</div>
<!-- END SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED -->
