Topic: main image size inconsistent across galleries plus browser issue

I am struggling to make the main image for each gallery (all on separate pages) consistent in size.

The original size of each image is 700 px in height, with widths varying.

Here are some examples to show inconsistency.

On Safari, the main image for the abandoned gallery is exactly the right size. Unfortunately, on Firefox it looks very small.

So really, there are two issues: one is image size consistency across galleries, and the other is gallery appearance across browsers. I have read other comments about browser issues and haven’t seemed to find the right fix.

Re: main image size inconsistent across galleries plus browser issue

Your 'joshuatree' album has thumbRows="1", your 'abandoned' gallery has thumbRows="3" and your 'westvirginia' gallery has thumbRows="2".
All galleries have thumbPosition="BOTTOM", so 'joshuatree' reserves space enough for 1 row of thumbnails beneath the image area, 'abandoned' reserves enough space for 3 rows (leaving less room for the main image) and 'westvirginia' reserves enough space for 2 rows.
Set thumbRows the same for all galleries and the main image area will be the same for all galleries.

This could be due to your Firefox browser having many toolbars showing leaving less window size for the gallery.
In Firefox, go to 'View -> Toolbars', deselect the toolbars that are currently selected and you may see the size of the main images in your gallery increase.

Thanks, that makes sense. I will readjust the rows and see if we can get a little more consistency, and hopefully this will carry across browsers as well.
