Topic: Turning OFF the preview back and forward arrows?

The arrows that appear ontop of the image to navigate forward and back in the gallery. Can I just turn that function off? I don't want them unless I can change the color and no one is answering my other post so I have to keep moving on my project.

These type of simple edits should be controllable in the .fla file without having to go into any code.

Re: Turning OFF the preview back and forward arrows?

The arrow colours will be that same as your frame colour. Do you want to get rid of the arrows all together? Do you have SV Pro?

Re: Turning OFF the preview back and forward arrows?

Yes I bought SV Pro. I tried just deleting the MC's in the .fla file and exporting out a new .swf but they still show up?

I like the frame color I just want to loose the back and forth arrows that appear ontop of the large photo area only. The other arrows for navigating the thumbs are fine.

Help me obi wan.

Re: Turning OFF the preview back and forward arrows?

Ok, I haven't tried this, so back up a copy of your as first. In imageArea.as comment out mBackBtn and mNextBtn where ever they appear. Like this
//mBackBtn.setRGB(mXMLManager.pagingArrowsColor);
//mNextBtn.setRGB(mXMLManager.pagingArrowsColor);
There is probably an easier way to do this, but, you're in a hurry. wink

Or if you want to move them below the imageArea.as
This will locate your buttons below the image, based on a btn width of 54pix, adjust to your needs

mBackBtn.setBtnPosn(imgx -fw + btnW,imgy + h  + btnW );
         mBackBtn.setHitPosn(imgx - fw - btnW,imgy +h + btnW/2);
         mBackBtn.setHitSize(w/4,h/4);
         mNextBtn.setBtnPosn(imgx + w  - btnW,imgy + h  + btnW );
         mNextBtn.setHitPosn(imgx + fw + w*2/3 +btnW,imgy + h + btnW/2 );
         mNextBtn.setHitSize(w/4,h/4);

Ok this is like trying to read Chinese.

What do you mean by 'Comment Out'?

Re: Turning OFF the preview back and forward arrows?

comments are in code for referance.
to place a comment, in code you add  // to the beginning of the line ( in actionscript-flash)

so

mBackBtn.setHitSize(w/4,h/4);

is code

While

//mBackBtn.setHitSize(w/4,h/4);    is a comment
//this line, you are reading is also a comment

Re: Turning OFF the preview back and forward arrows?

OK, gotcha.

Cool that worked.

Now I just need to get the .swf loading without fuzzin' out and I am good to go.

Or you can set enableImageButtons to false in Options.as
