Topic: Gallery XML Not Found

New to Simpleviewer and having trouble getting a gallery to display on my Wordpress blog. I use Woo Themes' Canvas theme if that makes a difference.

I'm getting the "Gallery XML Not Found" message showing when I preview the post and no sign of the gallery or images.

Here's the code I used at first after following the instructions on this post:
http://www.simpleviewer.net/forum/viewt … p?id=14275

<!--START SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED.-->
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://tentimesone.com/public_html/wp-content/svBuilder/SimpleViewer110511/svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
var flashvars = {};
flashvars.baseURL ="http://tentimesone.com/public_html/wp-content/svBuilder/SimpleViewer110511/";
simpleviewer.ready(function () {
simpleviewer.load("sv-container", "100%", "100%", "transparent", true, flashvars, null, null, false);
});
</script>
<div id="sv-container"></div>
<!-- END SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED -->

Then I tried directing the flashvars to the gallery.xml file:

var flashvars = {};
flashvars.galleryURL = "http://tentimesone.compublic_html/wp-content/svBuilder/SimpleViewer110511/gallery.xml";

...with no luck at all.

I've searched through the forums to see if I could find an answer and couldn't find one that addressed my issue exactly. I just purchased the SV Pro software today (not an upgrade) so I'm sure I have the latest version.

I plan on using this gallery function a lot on my blog so I'll be using multiple source files, which is the reason for the "simpleviewer110511' filename.

I love the ease setting up the gallery but embedding is proving to be extremely difficult.

Please help!

Re: Gallery XML Not Found

The 'public_html' folder on your web server does not form part of the public URL.
Try the following embedding code:

<!--START SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED.-->
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://tentimesone.com/wp-content/svBuilder/SimpleViewer110511/svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
var flashvars = {};
flashvars.baseURL ="http://tentimesone.com/wp-content/svBuilder/SimpleViewer110511/";
simpleviewer.ready(function () {
simpleviewer.load("sv-container", "100%", "100%", "transparent", true, flashvars, null, null, false);
});
</script>
<div id="sv-container"></div>
<!-- END SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED -->

Re: Gallery XML Not Found

Fantastic! That worked perfectly. The gallery is showing nicely now.

HOWEVER, the main image is displaying too small, only 150px by 75px. I would like it to be page width, minus padding. Is there a setting that's causing this? I went over my initial gallery customizations again and didn't see anything. Am I missing something?

Thanks for the quick response!

Re: Gallery XML Not Found

Other than increasing the size of your gallery (via the width and height Embed Code Parameters in the embedding code), make sure that other elements within your gallery (such as the title area, caption area and thumbnail area) are not taking up too much space on the stage.
For example, if you set thumbRows="4", the gallery will reserve enough space for 4 rows of thumbnails (leaving less room for the main images) even if there are not enough thumbnails to fill 4 rows.
The SimpleViewer-Pro Layout Guide may also be useful to you.
