Topic: changing path to gallery.xml

Hello,
I downloaded the free version for SimpleViewer
I tried to change the path for gallery.xml using -

flashvars.baseURL = "gallery/super/"
flashvars.galleryURL = "gallery.xml";

but is seems not working.
Is it even possible with the free ver or I need to buy the pro ver?
if it is possible somebody knows how to fix it?

Thanks,
Dani

Re: changing path to gallery.xml

If using a baseURL, SimpleViewer will look for an XML file named 'gallery.xml' in the baseURL folder so place your 'gallery.xml' file inside your 'gallery/super/' folder.

Re: changing path to gallery.xml

That's exactly what I did! and it still give me the "gallery xml not found" !

What can I do more about it?

Please post the URL to your gallery so that we can take a look.

Re: changing path to gallery.xml

It's still local and not on a server/domain.
here is the entire script if it's helps.

<!--START SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED.-->
<script type="text/javascript">
var flashvars = {};
flashvars.baseURL = "gallery/super/"
flashvars.galleryURL = "gallery.xml";
simpleviewer.ready(function () {
simpleviewer.load("sv-container", "100%", "100%", "transparent", true);
});
</script>
<div id="sv-container"></div>
<!-- END SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED -->

Re: changing path to gallery.xml

You need to enter the flashvars as a parameter in the simpleviewer.load() line.
See the 'Embed Code Parameters' section of the 'SimpleViewer Embedding Guide' for details: http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/su … tml#params
Change:

simpleviewer.load("sv-container", "100%", "100%", "transparent", true);

... to:

simpleviewer.load("sv-container", "100%", "100%", "transparent", true, flashvars);

If your XML file is named 'gallery.xml' and is located in your 'gallery/super/' folder, then you can safely remove the galleryURL line from your embedding code.
