Topic: New to simple viewer

Thank you for your help.  I am trying to place simple viewer in a template that i purchase (dreamweaver).  If I put the sv code in a blank page it will show up locally
I have put the code in the below page, but don't see anything.... At this point, I'm not even sure where to put the simpleviewer file.

I am way over my head and would appreciate any help you can give.  I want the sv to be in the space on this page.

Thanks so much for your help.

Re: New to simple viewer

It looks like you have inserted the embedding code correctly into your 'facilities.html' page but that your gallery's supporting files have not been uploaded to the correct locations.
Upload the gallery's 'svcore', 'thumbs' and 'images' folders to the 'html/' folder on your web server.

Re: New to simple viewer

Thanks.  I think I kind of have it correct.  I can see the sv, but the sizing is all off.  Is that something I change in the xml file or svbuilder or perhaps my css file.

Appreciate your help.  A little knowledge is dangerous.

Re: New to simple viewer

Your gallery displays OK in IE9 but not in Firefox 9.0.1.
Please see this FAQ which may hold the answer to your sizing issue: http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/su … ml#embed_7

Re: New to simple viewer

Thanks... but I don't understand what I need to do.  tghis is the code from the index file in my sv folder::
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">
<html>
<head>
    <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">
    <title>SimpleViewer Gallery</title>
</head>
<body>

    <!--START SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED.-->
    <script type="text/javascript" src="svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    simpleviewer.ready(function () {
        simpleviewer.load('sv-container', '100%', '100%', '222222', true);
    });
    </script>
    <div id="sv-container"></div>
    <!-- END SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED -->

</body>
</html>

Sorry, again a little knowledge is dangerous
Or do I need to change the code in my sites style css.

Re: New to simple viewer

The changes need to be made on your 'html/facilities.html' page (the page into which the gallery is embedded).
The gallery is within the 'leftpan' and 'bodypan' divs so heights need to be specified for 'body', 'html', 'leftpan' and 'bodypan'.
Alternatively, you could just specify the gallery's dimensions in absolute pixel values rather than percentages.
Try changing the following line in 'html/facilities.html':

simpleviewer.load("sv-container", "100%", "100%", "transparent", true);

... to something like:

simpleviewer.load("sv-container", "800", "600", "transparent", true);
