Topic: New user questions on fonts and variables

I'm a new user updating my website using Yahoo Sitebuilder and linking galleries to it.  All will be resident on Yahoo server.  I have used Jalbum for past galleries, using chameleon and dpl skins.  Downloaded SV skin and also SVbuilder and tested both.  Looks like they will work great!  However, have a few questions/issues:

1.  Have used basic version.  In order to have larger thumbnails and slide show I assume I'll need pro.  Correct?
2.  In our website we use fonts other than those available in SV.  I've added them in other skins, but can't find how to do so in SV.
3.  Love the way it handles mobile devices.  However, I have one PC (Win7) in which FF (10.0) opens my gallery in mobile mode.  I've reloaded FF and it still does it.  Other PC and the Mac all do FF fine.  Any idea?
4.  I'm surprised at the detail of controls in Jalbum compared to the options in SVbuilder.  Is it expected that SVBuilder users will set the options via coding?

Great screen effect - exactly what I've been looking for.  Thanks.

Re: New user questions on fonts and variables

Yes (on both counts).
The thumbnail dimensions can be set via the Pro-only options thumbWidth and thumbHeight: http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/pr … tml#thumbs
An automated slide show can be configured by setting the Pro-only option autoPlayOnLoad="TRUE": http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/pr … l#autoplay

You can set fonts in the gallery's title and captions by using HTML formatting as described in these FAQs:
http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/su … l#custom_1
http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/su … l#custom_2
The SimpleViewer skin for jAlbum has a limited range of font families which can be selected. In order to change the font for all possible text fields within the skin, go to the skin's 'Global' tab and set the desired font family within the 'Change Multiple Fields' control panel.
The skin's GUI is compiled which makes modifying the interface impossible without the source code.
If you would like me to include a specific font (or list of fonts) to include alongside those already there, please let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Check that your installation of Firefox has JavaScript enabled (under 'Tools -> Options -> Content') and that the latest version of Adobe Flash Player is installed and activated (by visiting this page in your browser).

svBuilder-Pro has all SimpleViewer-Pro Config Options available to be changed via its interface and has a live preview window showing you how your gallery will look as you change these options.
Once a gallery has been created with svBuilder-Pro, it can be embedded into an existing HTML page alongside other content by following the instructions here: http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/su … html#embed
The jAlbum skin has many more options, most of which are either related to jAlbum-specific configuration options or helping to create additional web elements around a SimpleViewer gallery.
