Topic: multiple flickr galleries: can't sort images

Hi,
I'm trying to publish a page on my wordpress site with more than one gallery... I'd like to put 4/5 galleries

I tried with the wordpress simpleViewer plugin... than I read in this forum that SvBuilder wold be better ... but I'm not so expert to insert the script in the php code... than I've read that both iFrame adn Flick gallery can help and I decided to try with Flickr galleries.

Now, what I can't fix in my Simpleviewer based Flickr is:

I'd like to sort the photos into each gallery, and I can't do it. I read on an other topic this suggestion:

"Actualy I just managed to sort my files properly: the selection of files by a flickr tag to build a galery did not allow the sorting of this files. Since I add an image set ID, everything runs properly"
http://www.simpleviewer.net/forum/viewt … p?id=13887

but... even if a create a set for each gallery with a precise sorting... the simpleviewer gallery on my wordpress site doesn't respect it!

Someone can help with this issue?

The site actually is local based - not on-line, but I can attach something if it is necessary to better undersand...

thankyou very much

Re: multiple flickr galleries: can't sort images

Please see the following FAQs:
How do I change the order of images from Flickr?
How do I change the order of images in a Flickr Photo Set?

Please note that the flickrSort option is a Pro-only option. In order to use this option, you would have to either create your gallery with svBuilder-Pro or upgrade WP-SimpleViewer to SimpleViewer-Pro.

mmhhh
peraphs I'm wrong, because I'm creating direcly the album and set in Flickr and then from WP page I embed SimpleViewer gallery Flickr based , using the WP SimpleViewer Plugin.

The problem is: I'm doing it because I can't understand how to use the sv-Builder Pro and put the galleries in the WP page.php...

I mean: when I have create the galleryA , galleryB, I put those folders in my server, and then?
I don't know where to put the code in my page...

this code:
<!--START SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED.-->
<script type="text/javascript" src="svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
var flashvars = {};
flashvars.galleryURL = "gallery.xml";

I don't know where to put it and if I have to repeat for each single gallery...
thankyou in advance

Re: multiple flickr galleries: can't sort images

The problem, I argue, is:
how to embed this recommended code:
<!--START SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED.-->
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.example.com/mygallery/svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
var flashvars = {};
flashvars.baseURL = "http://www.example.com/mygallery/";
simpleviewer.ready(function () {
simpleviewer.load("sv-container", "100%", "100%", "222222", true, flashvars);
});
</script>
<div id="sv-container"></div>
<!-- END SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED -->

as suggested here http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/su … l#external

in a wordpress page - that is not a simple html page.
thankyou.

Re: multiple flickr galleries: can't sort images

I mean: when I have create the galleryA , galleryB, I put those folders in my server, and then?
I don't know where to put the code in my page...

(1) Keep each gallery in its own folder.
(2) Upload your complete gallery folders (not just the contents) to your web server. It does not matter where you upload them to as long as you know where they are.
(3) Add or edit a post and select 'HTML' (rather than 'Visual') as the method of entry.
(4) Enter the baseURL embedding code into the body of the post, changing the path to the 'simpleviewer.js' file and the baseURL entry depending on your own website URL.
(5) When embedding multiple galleries (which may be displayed on the same page), it is necessary to embed each gallery into a <div> with a unique 'id' and have a unique 'flashvars' variable name.

Embedding code for 'galleryA' would look something like like this:

<!--START SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED.-->
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.example.com/galleryA/svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
var flashvars1 = {};
flashvars1.baseURL = "http://www.example.com/galleryA/";
simpleviewer.ready(function () {
simpleviewer.load("sv-container1", "100%", "100%", "222222", true, flashvars1);
});
</script>
<div id="sv-container1"></div>
<!-- END SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED -->

Embedding code for 'galleryB' would look something like this:

<!--START SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED.-->
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.example.com/galleryB/svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
var flashvars2 = {};
flashvars2.baseURL = "http://www.example.com/galleryB/";
simpleviewer.ready(function () {
simpleviewer.load("sv-container1", "100%", "100%", "222222", true, flashvars2);
});
</script>
<div id="sv-container2"></div>
<!-- END SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED -->
