Topic: As of today, images not loading

Hi There,

Wordpress: 3.3.2
SV:  2.2
I have a wordpress site, but am not using the plugin. Today I noticed that my images aren't loading correctly in my galleries. Its been working fine for months, so I'm not sure why this is happening now. Thoughts?

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: As of today, images not loading

Going to the first image in your gallery directly in a browser (http://www.gaiacornwall.com/staging/wp- … BRrude.jpg) results in an 'Page Not Found' error.
It looks like the images may have been deleted from the server or the path to the images has changed.
Check your WordPress Media Library to see if they still exist there.
Also, you could check, via FTP, to see if you can find the images on the web server.

Re: As of today, images not loading

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!

Yes, all my images are there in my media library. All still in, ie 'connected' to, the "Editorial gallery".

This is the location of that first image:

Re: As of today, images not loading

Ergh I just realized that all the images are linking to the staging site and not my live site. I guess they didn't migrate over. And since my staging site is gone, they're not showing up.

Is there a way to just go in and enter the correct paths in Wordpress? Or do I need to redo my galleries?

Thanks again!

Latest: Ok I went in and changed the xml files.  Now the images are showing up.  However, the watermark is not and the SV logo is now appearing.  Since I have the Pro version that shouldn't be there right?

The paths to the images are hard-coded into the gallery XML files as absolute URLs so changing a path in WordPress would not help. The paths in the XML files would need to be changed. However, you could download them from your web server, open them all together in an editor such as Notepad++, do a global search and replace to change all the paths in a single action and upload them to their original location on your web server.

It sounds like your gallery is using the SimpleViewer-Standard 'svcore' folder.
Each time you upgrade WP-SimpleViewer, you will need to following the instructions for Upgrading to SimpleViewer-Pro.
