What about a non-Flash version of SimpleViewer?  Are you planning a version working on iPhone/iPad/Mac devices?

Simpleviewer already supports Universal Playback and will display the gallery on mobile devices and in browsers which do not have Adobe Flash Player installed and enabled.
This functionality was introduced in v2.1.0 and SimpleViewer is currently on v2.3.0. Please see the Version History for details.

Re: Non flash version

Great! Thanks for your reply.

Should I change my code for this? Now I get an error ("Gallery XML not found") if I disable Flash in my browser (I have no iPhone or whatever to test it).

This is my sourcecode:

<script type="text/javascript" src="/svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
var flashvars = {};
flashvars.galleryURL = '/xml/gallery-xml.php?id=portretfotografie';
flashvars.wmode = 'transparent';
jQuery(document).ready(function(){
  SV.simpleviewer.load('gallery', '100%', '100%', 'FFFFFF', true, flashvars);
});
</script>
<div id="gallery"></div>
</div>

Re: Non flash version

From your embedding code, it looks like you may be using an older version of SimpleViewer.
Try upgrading your gallery to the latest version (v2.3.0) as the problem you are encountering may have been caused by a bug which has been fixed since the version you are using.
Please see the Upgrading SimpleViewer-Pro page for details.
Then, change your current embedding code to the following:

<script type="text/javascript" src="/svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
var flashvars = {};
flashvars.galleryURL = '/xml/gallery-xml.php?id=portretfotografie';
flashvars.wmode = 'transparent';
simpleviewer.ready(function(){
  simpleviewer.load('gallery', '100%', '100%', 'FFFFFF', true, flashvars);
});
</script>
<div id="gallery"></div>
</div>

If you continue to experience difficulties, please post the URL to your gallery so that I can take a look.

Re: Non flash version

Thanks a lot! It's working now, I tested by disabling the Flash-plugin of my browser.

But I've some small problems:

First, some thumbnails are not shown (tested on two different computers), where they are in Flash "mode":

Also see http://www.studiowaanders.nl/portfolio/ … rtages.php.

And another small problem:

For some images I see a strange "border" (part of another images?) next to the image:

Re: Non flash version

First, some thumbnails are not shown (tested on two different computers), where they are in Flash "mode":

The missing thumbnails in the Mobile Player seem to be due to the fact that the thumbnail images are actually missing from your server, e.g.:
http://www.studiowaanders.nl/i/gallery/ … ages/4.jpg
... results in an error 404 (file not found).
If a thumbURL is missing, the Flash Player will use the corresponding imageURL instead. However, the Mobile Player will not and relies on the thumbURLs being present.

For some images I see a strange "border" (part of another images?) next to the image:

This is possibly due to a conflict between the gallery's CSS and that of your own web page.
You can eliminate such errors by isolating the gallery and embedding in into your own web page using an <iframe> as documented here.

Re: Non flash version

Wow! Thanks for the quick and solid reply, good support @ this forum.

Images where missing indeed, they were there but file name was in lowercase. Solved now.

About the CSS conflicts, I will have a look at that
