Topic: Simpleviewer on iPad.

I like simple viewer a lot..

Now the day's tablet's are coming to the living room. With my new website i try to improve the experience of the tablet user.

When i was surfing with my ipad on the website i noticed some difference in the example site's.
http://www.simpleviewer.net/simpleviewe … es/modern/
This has a mobile version when viewing on a iPad.

http://www.simpleviewer.net/simpleviewe … s/compact/
This has no mobile version with full screen support.

So my question is how can i activate a non mobile version on the iPad.

Re: Simpleviewer on iPad.

Owke i found something out...

By calling the original file the iPad is displaying well..
But when i framed it with a iframe the full-screen function is gone..

Someone having a suggestion for this problem ( Joomla CMS )

This has no mobile version with full screen support.

This sample gallery does work on mobile devices and does feature the 'Expand Gallery' button to go fullscreen.

But when i framed it with a iframe the full-screen function is gone..

As documented in Option #2 in the Using an External Gallery Folder section:

You can also use an iframe to embed a gallery in a different folder. Please note that this method will limit the functionality of the Mobile Player. When embedding the Mobile Player in an iframe, the 'fullscreen' and 'open image' buttons are disabled.

Someone having a suggestion for this problem ( Joomla CMS )

Rather than embed the gallery using an <iframe>, use the baseURL method as documented as Option #1 in the Using an External Gallery Folder section:

Re: Simpleviewer on iPad.

Thanks for the replay. I tried that code but on the ipad i get the following error :

"Gallery XML not found"

Re: Simpleviewer on iPad.

This is the code :

<!--START SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED.-->
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.patrickstroobach.nl/test/images/albums/architectuur/svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
var flashvars = {};
flashvars.baseURL = "http://www.patrickstroobach.nl/test/ima … hitectuur/";
flashvars.galleryURL = "http://www.patrickstroobach.nl/test/ima … allery.xml";
simpleviewer.ready(function () {
simpleviewer.load("sv-container", "1000", "750", "transparent", true, flashvars);
});
</script>
<div id="sv-container"></div>

Also leaving this part will give the same error..
flashvars.galleryURL = "http://www.patrickstroobach.nl/test/ima … allery.xml";
<!-- END SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED -->

Re: Simpleviewer on iPad.

Your gallery's XML file is named 'gallery.xml' and is located directly inside your gallery folder (designated by the baseURL) so you can (and should) leave out the galleryURL entry.
After making this change, you may need to clear your browswer's cache before reloading the gallery.
If you continue to experience difficulties, please post the URL to the web page into which you are embedding your gallery so that I can take a look.
