Topic: Autoviewer-Pro caption width

I know there have been similar posts to this, but I can't seem to find the exact answer. I want the captions to run to the end of the picture. Right now all it does is leave space on the right side, which is where the image numbers would be if they were not hidden.

How do I get the captions to span the width of the image?

I am not really great at AS, but if you tell me where to go and what I need to alter, I can google it.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Autoviewer-Pro caption width

The width of the caption can be changed on line 256 of the 'Image.as' file.
Change:

var captionWidth = mWidth*3/4;

... to:

var captionWidth = mWidth - ((mXMLManager.frameWidth + Options.captionPadding) * 2);

This will give the caption the full width of the image (including frame) minus the frame width and caption padding on both sides.

Re: Autoviewer-Pro caption width

I tried that and republished the swf file and the caption still won't go the full length of the photo.

Is there something I am missing?

Re: Autoviewer-Pro caption width

I tested it myself before posting the solution above and it worked fine.
Try again and make sure you use the new SWF file in your gallery.
The only modifications I made to the source files of AutoViewer-Pro v1.4 were:
(1) Set showImageNumbers to false on line 40 of the 'Options.as' file
(2) Change line 256 of the 'Image.as' file to:

var captionWidth = mWidth - ((mXMLManager.frameWidth + Options.captionPadding) * 2);
