Topic: Editing index.html

Hello everybody,
I have a small problem:

in the index.html page created by svbuilder I would like to add the same "navigation menu" and a logo I have in my site.
I tried to edit the index, but it doesn't work. How can I do it?

Regards and thanks
Vladimir

Re: Editing index.html

You can edit the 'index.html' file of a SimpleViewer gallery (to add your own HTML elements and branding) in the HTML editor of your choice.
If your gallery's dimensions are 100% x 100% and you wish to show other HTML elements on your page, you will either need to:
(1) Reduce the size of your gallery so that it does not fill the entire browser window, or...
(2) Make your gallery's background transparent (by following the instructions in this FAQ) in order for other elements on the page to show through.

Re: Editing index.html

- the embed code in index htmlis the following:

<!--START SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED -->
    <script type="text/javascript" src="svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    $(document).ready(function () {
        SV.simpleviewer.load('sv-container', '100%', '100%', '666666',true);
    });
    </script>
    <div id="sv-container"></div>
    <!--END SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED -->

I can't see any possibility of change.

- in svbuilder "embed options I can see how to reduce the size of gallery, but I can't set bgcolor to transparent. Shall I change it in CSS?

Vladimiro

Re: Editing index.html

If using svBuilder-Pro to create or edit your gallery, select the 'Background Transparent' checkbox in the 'Customize -> Embed Options' section.
If you wish to make your gallery's background transparent by manually editing the embedding code, change:

SV.simpleviewer.load('sv-container', '100%', '100%', '666666',true);

... to:

SV.simpleviewer.load('sv-container', '100%', '100%', 'transparent', true);

Your embedding code suggests that the version of SimpleViewer-Pro that you are using is not the most recent version.
If you like, you could upgrade to the latest version by following the instructions here.

Re: Editing index.html

Uhmm I'm sorry but I do not get the result I want;

This is the embed code in the index page, modified as you told me:
<!--START SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED -->
    <script type="text/javascript" src="svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    $(document).ready(function () {
        SV.simpleviewer.load('sv-container', '80%', '80%', 'transparent',true);
    });
    </script>
    <div id="sv-container"></div>
    <!--END SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED -->

The result is the following link:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/12372366/Simpl … lery-3.jpg

I really do not understand from where that green color comes from! Shouldn't be transparent and just showing the background of my page?

Any suggestion?

Regards

Re: Editing index.html

The 'Background Transparent' checkbox was added to svBuilder-Pro in v2.1.1.
Please see the SimpleViewer Version History for details.

Make sure your gallery uses the current version of SimpleViewer-Pro (v2.3.0) and all should be well.
To upgrade an existing SimpleViewer gallery to SimpleViewer-Pro v2.3.0, just replace the 'svcore' folder in your existing gallery with the 'svcore' folder from the SimpleViewer-Pro download package ('simpleviewer_pro_230/web/svcore').

You can also change a couple of lines in your embedding code from:

$(document).ready(function () {
        SV.simpleviewer.load('sv-container', '80%', '80%', 'transparent',true);

... to:

simpleviewer.ready(function () {
        simpleviewer.load('sv-container', '80%', '80%', 'transparent', true);

... although if you create a gallery with svBuilder-Pro v2.3.0, the new embedding code format will automatically be used.

Re: Editing index.html

Steven I tried to download the upgrade of my svbuilder 2.1.0, but I didn't keep the link page sent by "felix" in the email... I don't even remember the date I purchased the software.
The only thing in my possession is my Email address :-(
Can't you check my order if I tell you my email address?

If you can't, I will understand it.

Regards

Re: Editing index.html

Please fill in this Upgrade Request Form (to the best of your ability with regard to fields such as the 'Purchase Date').
It will ensure that the necessary information is passed along to the correct department who will be able to process your request for a new download link. (I do not personally have access to transaction records so cannot check for you myself). Thank you.
