Topic: Gallery xml not found...Help!!!!

Hi,
  I am a complete newbie to simple viewer and have been building my first website via wordpress. I have downloaded svbuilder and created a few galleries for my website. I have been trying for the past two days to upload them to my wordpress site unsuccessfully. I uploaded the folder that i saved my gallery in svbuilder to wp-content/uploads. I also embedded the code it gave me to my html page i want this gallery in. (Bayou Bartholomew) However, I keep getting the gallery xml not found. I also changed the permissions to the folder to 777.
This is the code we are recently trying to get to work

<!--START SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED.-->
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.eastinoutdoors.com/public_html/wp-content/uploads/BayouBgallery/svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
var flashvars = {};
flashvars.baseURL ="http://www.eastinoutdoors.com/public_html/wp-content/uploads/BayouBGallery";
simpleviewer.ready(function () {
simpleviewer.load("sv-container", "100%", "100%", "000000", true);
});
</script>
<div id="sv-container"></div>
<!-- END SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED -->

My website is www.eastinoutdoors.com

Please any help would be appreciated, I dont know what else to try other than a different gallery. But, I Love the look of simple viewer.

Re: Gallery xml not found...Help!!!!

There are a couple of small things which are preventing your gallery from functioning correctly:

(1) The 'public_html' folder does not form part of the URL.
(2) Your web server is case sensitive and 'BayouBgallery' should be changed to 'BayouBGallery'.
(3) Your baseURL should have a trailing slash.

Therefore, your embedding code would become:

<!--START SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED.-->
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.eastinoutdoors.com/wp-content/uploads/BayouBGallery/svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
    var flashvars = {};
    flashvars.baseURL ="http://www.eastinoutdoors.com/wp-content/uploads/BayouBGallery/";
    simpleviewer.ready(function () {
        simpleviewer.load("sv-container", "100%", "100%", "000000", true, flashvars);
    });
</script>
<div id="sv-container"></div>
<!-- END SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED -->

Re: Gallery xml not found...Help!!!!

First off Thank you so much for getting back to me! I have just tried the new code that you gave me, however I have ended up with the same results. Could anything else be wrong?  The folder I uploaded to wp-content/uploads is BayouBGallery and it contains these files: images, svcore, thumbs, Bayou Bartholomew index.html, and gallery.xml...

Re: Gallery xml not found...Help!!!!

Your embedding code does not pass the 'flashvars' variable (including the baseURL) to SimpleViewer.
Change:

simpleviewer.load("sv-container", "100%", "100%", "000000", true);

... to:

simpleviewer.load("sv-container", "100%", "100%", "000000", true, flashvars);

I have edited my post above to reflect the correct code.

Please see the Embed Code Parameters section of the 'SimpleViewer Embedding Guide' for details.

Re: Gallery xml not found...Help!!!!

Yay! Thank you so much, it is now showing up on that page. However it is only about an inch tall. What could be causing that?

Re: Gallery xml not found...Help!!!!

How can i make the gallery larger than an inch tall on my website page?

Re: Gallery xml not found...Help!!!!

Please see this FAQ:
My gallery does not show in Firefox or gets cropped to a small height. Why?

A quick solution would be to set the gallery's height in the embedding code as a fixed pixel value rather than as a percentage. For example:

simpleviewer.load("sv-container", "100%", "600", "000000", true, flashvars);
